Stayed for one night with a Wowcher deal, £59 including a two course dinner and breakfast. I have separately reviewed the dinner and breakfast 5 stars. The rooms are above the main pub. We stayed in "Dover" which was overlooking the village hall, very picturesque. Old fashioned sash windows. Lovely room, clean with fresh linen, comfortable bed. The towels were...

We stayed for two nights, one night being Valentines, not that it was shown in the restaurant, no red roses or anything to suggest it w Valentines Night!! The food on both evenings was good, although the dining room was rather chilly. Our room was lovely apart from the extra put up bed ! The bathroom needed a make over...

We stayed here on a one night wowcher deal and were really disappointed. We had upgraded to the four poster room, which strangely also had a single bed in the room and two extra mattresses under each bed! The room was cosy and clean, unfortuantly, that's where any positive comments end! The bathroom was just horrible with an unpleasant smell,...

Booked through Wowcher for a one night stay. We had a lovely time in Hyrhe for a few celebratory drinks, then went back to the hotel for our 2 course meal. Wasn't expecting much as it was part of the deal, but the food was lovely. Staff were accommodating! Room was ok, TV a little small but most b&b's are...

My boyfriend received a wowcher gift for a stay here but no research was taken on the establishment on behalf of both parties as the picture was a Castle on the coast so that's what we was expecting to arrive to. When we arrived, it was a shock to the system that we was staying in a pub. We remained...

My partner and I stayed for one night on a Groupon voucher - dinner, bed and breakfast. I'm glad I didn't pay full price because I would be even more disappointed. The pub itself is lovely looking, in a small village just outside Hythe but it really is tired and needs some attention. I prefer older buildings with character but...

A lot of your comments could have been resolved by simply talking to us!? Breakfast is freshly cooked, we can cook poached, scrambled, fried and boiled eggs, just ask. The radiators are often turned off by a previous customer ( because it's too hot!!), a simple request to us and this would have been resolved. Being in a conservation area we...

We booked this via Woocher and it appeared a really good deal. We are walkers and wanted to stay over 1 night so we could walk both days. The Castle is situated right on the village green of Saltwood which is picturesque. Staff were friendly and reasonably helpful, but the whole place is tired and there seems to be an...

My husband and I stayed here for a 1 night break and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location of the hotel is in a lovely picturesque quite village. Inside there is a typical country looking pub with wooden beams and a roaring fire, idyllic setting for a nice drink at reasonable prices. The food is tasty, hearty home cooked food with...

We had a very warm welcome by the staff when we arrived. The room was clean and tidy and big enough for us both. We used the bar to eat which was good freshly cooked food, again very friendly staff. The open fire on a cold January day was very pleaseant while drinking good wine and beer. Dinner was freshly...

booked on a living social DBB deal, ridiculous value so had low expectation but all were met. Rooms were comfy but bathrooms dated but as expected in 15th century inn. Spotlessly clean, and cosy, nice bed! Lovely dinner served by roaring fire, good choice of ales, nothing that would knock anybody's socks off but a great little break and would...
