We loved staying at Rosslyn Court. The hosts are incredibly lovely and welcoming people and have been so helpful throughout our stay. The location is absolutely perfect, the breakfasts were lush and our room was incredibly comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Thank you!

It has been just great! Amazing house and bedroom, the location is supergood, 10 min walking from the city center, 3 min from the sea, everything in a walkable distance. The house owners were supernice, they made us feel like in our own house! But with amazing breakfast!

Chris and Morag are glorious hosts: warm, welcoming, friendly, helpful, accommodating and chatty. They offered advice about good places to eat and attractions to visit. It's impossible to imagine how they could be any better. Morag's breakfasts are spectacularly good. Over the 9 days we stayed, we enjoyed full English, fried eggs on toast, pancakes with three different toppings, fresh fruit salad, homemade bread toasted perfectly, homemade jams and marmalade, smashed avocado on toast, fluffy scrambled eggs, huge croissants, yogurt and granola, a selection of cheeses with oatcakes, 'proper' coffee (not instant) and Earl Grey tea. The food was all of excellent quality, extremely tasty, plentiful, and locally-sourced wherever possible. Absolutely faultless in every respect. There was an 'Honesty Bar (Fridge)' for the guests' use, with a selection of chilled wines and beers, and also milk for hot drinks in our room. Our room reflected the entire property: quirky, comfortable, and with a really lovely atmosphere. The bathroom had a shower with a hand-held shower head (my personal favourite, to reach into all the nooks and crannies!) with good pressure and steamy hot water. There was no TV in our room, but Chris and Morag let us watch their TV in the Green Room/sitting room if there was a programme we particularly wanted to see in the evening. The WiFi is free and efficient, not dropping out at all. The location is very good, with plenty of on-street free parking and shops and convenience stores nearby. It's about a 20-minute walk to the railway station, seafront and attractions, and there are plenty of buses going to Broadstairs, Ramsgate etc.

We stayed at the Rosslyn Court for three nights. Morag was there to greet us and was so lovely and friendly. We stayed in a lovely room. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was small but again very clean with a decent shower. Breakfast was amazing! Fresh fruit, a choice of cereal, cooked breakfast, croissants and toast with homemade preserves. Morag made sure we did not want for anything. All COVID precautions were in place which made for a relaxing stay. The property is within walking distance of the seafront and shops/cafes/restaurants. We were not overly impressed with Margate itself as it is in need of a lot of TLC. However, Broadstairs, which is very close by is delightful.

My dad and I decided to have four nights away in Margate with separate rooms, this certainly was the perfect hotel for it! The rooms were sanitised for two days before we came and social distancing was in place. When we arrived, the owner of the hotel greeted us and made us feel welcome-which seems difficult to do due to the circumstances with coronavirus. She made sure we had everything that we needed, even a fridge for our drinks and nets if we went crabbing. The room itself was great, plenty of room and value for money. The only problem was that there wasn’t a tv, which wasn’t a huge problem at all, but it was a shame not to have one. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on, and there wasn’t any disturbance other than some annoying seagulls! For breakfast, it couldn’t be any better! The owner offered everything you could think of and kept to the guidelines with us and other guests. You could even sit in the garden! The only problem with the hotel is that it is a 10-20 minute walk to the town centre, but is still very close to the seafront. We found that it was easier to park in town, but you could easily park by the hotel and walk into town instead. The hotel doesn’t offer parking but there are plenty of spaces on the street it’s on and we never had any problems. If we ever go back to Margate, we will definitely come back to this hotel!

Hi Sam Thank you for taking time to write this wonderful review. I'm really pleased you both enjoyed your holiday in Margate. There's lots to do and I think you did most of them including several forms of crazy golf! The walk to town isn't too bad, either along the sea front or along Northdown Rd with its interesting range of shops, restaurants and caves! You also get to see the Tudor House. Please come back again. It was lovely having you both here, even if you didn't quite get round to that crabbing..... The TV question is an interesting one. You can use the one in the sitting room and Chris and I keep having this discussion but some people love not having a TV and others use their laptops so its an ongoing debate. Best wishes Morag
