Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If we could give more than 5*, we would! Paul has created an oasis in the heart of Margate old town. Our suite was beautifully decorated with an eclectic mix of art and plants. It was immaculate and the bed so comfy. This was our first trip to Margate, and absolutely loved the vibe and can't wait to return. Congratulations Paul, we LOVED the Beetroot x

It's not often I stay in a hotel where I feel so comfortable and relaxed that it's a real struggle to leave. Everything about this place is top notch, tasteful and high end. Paul, the owner and host, is just great and nothing is too much trouble. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and I can't praise it enough.

The room was perfect with great decor and a very comfortable bed. Paul was friendly and welcoming and informative about the local area. The Beetroot is in the old town close to The Turner, the seafront and lovely restauants. We found free parking about 5 minutes walk away. We'll definitely book again.

All I can say is wow, what a great experience. I'm relatively local to the area so knew the location was great, hence booking, but wasnt expecting such a good stay. The bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in, the room was beautifully decorated and the shower was great - loved the nice touch of the Chai Wallah tea and the Haeckels soap and shampoo. Paul was super friendly and the room was excellent value for money. I cannot recommend enough.

I stayed at BeetBeds whilst running an event in Margate, for 3 nights. Paul was very friendly and really welcoming. I stayed in the one-bed studio and loved the quirkiness of the alcove where the bed was, heading downstairs to the fabulous galley kitchen and then onto the fantastic bathroom - in what can only be described as like a tunnel - loved the décor of this! Furnishings were to a high standard with a REALLY comfy bed, lovely little finishing touches of décor throughout. I would definitely recommend and would have this as my go to for any future stays in Margate. Thanks Paul :)

We have just returned from two nights here. We were in Room B, which is up two flights of stairs, overlooking the courtyard. The room was perfect; comfortable bed, clean shower room, TV, kettle etc. Paul, the owner, was really friendly and helpful. The entrance to the rooms is (currently) literally off the a public car park which is very expensive. We parked for an hour, booked in, unpacked and then found some free on street parking 10 minutes walk away. After that everything is on your doorstep; the beach, Turner Contemporary, restaurants, bars, Dreamland, all within a short walking distance. But sitting in the beautiful courtyard eating an ice cream you wouldn't realise that you are in the middle of the old town. We certainly plan to return.

Stunning - I’m sitting in the decking area feeling sad that I have to leave in the morning and yet desperate to go upstairs to spend another night in that super comfy bed. What a beautiful little gem in the centre of everything yet tucked away and gloriously quaint and quiet. The rooms are just so stylish and with some lovey features and finished to such a high standard. The bathroom is gorgeous and I know I want to copy the tiling in my own bathroom. Nice little extras, teas, coffees and toiletries. The bed is just so so comfy. Paul is lovely and very informative. Just loved our stay and so jealous that when my friends come back later in the summer that I can’t make it. I would recommend this lovely little gem to everyone I know

My sister and I had such a wonderful stay in the garden studio. A unique space, clean and with beautiful attention to detail. The specialist teas and coffee machine were very much appreciated too. Big thanks to Paul who is the most gracious host! We shall be back!
