The Warwick Guesthouse is an Edwardian townhouse located a short stroll from the beach and tidal swimming pool at Walpole Bay. Situated in Cliftonville, recently voted the third best place to live in the country in a national poll and the new creative quarter in Margate. We offer four ensuite double rooms, our newest ensuite bathroom has a luxurious roll top bath with overhead shower. As foodies ourselves, we take great pride in our breakfast offerings. All our jams and marmalades are home made. Our breakfast muffins are always freshly baked, as is our home made bread. Our smoked salmon is supplied by our local smokehouse, our sausages are hand made by our local butcher. The Viking trail passes along the top of our road and provides a scenic walk to the Turner Contemporary in about 20 minutes, walking in the other direction you will come to Botany and Kingsgate Bays, regularly rated as amongst the top 10 beaches in the UK. Children over the age of 16 are welcome.

We stayed one Friday night, arrived in the rain and immediately made welcome. Because of our early start next day we needed to eat breakfast outside of their usual times , this proved to be no problem and we were accommodated. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was warm,

We stay in the Margate area quite often and The Warwick Guest House is the best that we have stayed in by far. We won't stay anywhere else now that we have found it. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the room wasn't too hot or too cold. It was

This is by far the best B&B we have stayed in. We stayed in room 1 which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We also had a separate bathroom which was modern. The breakfast was amazing with so many options, home baked bread and chocolate orange cake. It's in a good

Hi James, glad you had such a great time with us! Our chocolate and orange cake we had made definitely seemed popular that weekend. There are many great hostelries around Thanet (several close to The Warwick) which we recommend to our guests, glad you enjoyed them as well!

Loved the whole weekend - the room, the chatty hosts with all the local knowledge, the area and of course the breakfast. Really helpful advice on local bars and restaurants and how to get around Margate.

Hi Neil, we do enjoy helping our guests to have a great time when visiting Margate as there is so much to see and do. We make as many of our breakfast offerings ourselves as we can, bread, preserves, potato cakes etc, which always seem popular with our guests. There are a great selection of bars and restaurants in the area and we're glad you had such a great time exploring them!

No allocated parking at all. One has to find a plcae along a very busy street. We were lucky - twice! - but I think it might be necessary to park some way away, depending on the time of day.

Hi Daphne, I recognise Richard Ackland-Snow's name from the deeds to the house, I believe it was sold in about 1973. We bought the house 9 years ago when it was in a poor state of repair from a property developer. It had been used as bed sits for years and needed a lot of work to bring back to it's former glory which we hope we have achieved. We re-opened as a guesthouse about 3 years ago. Hope this was useful! Rob Wheeler.
