We have just returned from ‘this hotel with our group from 2Ks Travel This is a lovely hotel with character and charm. We all had lovely rooms comfortable and spacious some with fabulous sea views. The outside could have done with a wipe the window ledges had bird droppings all

Stayed here for one Saturday night. I had read the mixed reviews but there was no availability elsewhere. I was in a very dated, worn single room with 1970s brown bathroom fittings and carpets I last saw at my grandparents house. Desperately needs updating. Bed was ok and no

My room was a single tucked away at the side with dirty stained carpet, very dated old pine furniture, dirty sink which took forever to drain. No towels in room on arrival for a shower after a hot journey and as case was so slow to arrive I hauled it upstairs myself.

I do admit - I did not read the reviews... and I rather regret it... Good sized rooms with very poor ventilation (probably 20cm gap in the windows). No black out curtains - 5am wake up. Birds’ nests right outside the windows - 5am wake up. No room service (I was told to get

We planned to come only for 1 night, after seeing the room we asked if we can stay 1 extra night. The furniture is old and the doors very heavy to open. But...We are modest people, we enjoyed it . We need it a place where to sleep , all day we were with the kids out .

There are very few hotels in the whole country that allow smoking in rooms now. Some rooms facing the seafront have French doors instead of windows but no balcony to speak of, so if you did open it for a smoke, the smell would go back in the room and you'd end up with a cleaning charge.

Does the hotel have a bar?
We do have a bar in the hotel, with prices in line with all local pubs. We offer a range of draught lager, beer and cider as well as Guinness Surger. We offer a range of wines on our wine list, and a large variety of spirits. We also stock a range of soft drinks. After getting a drink in the bar, sit in the lounge area and stare out at the sea, before heading into The Orangery, our marble-floored, sea-view restaurant serving fresh, locally-sourced Kentish produce every day of the week.
