Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We popped into here after a long dog walk. We’re fairly local but hadn’t had a chance to experience its charms. A lovely friendly welcome from the owners and staff. Dog friendly our two pointers enjoyed the labs welcome and then settled by the fantastic large log burner and fireplace. The Harvey’s Best was in very good condition and we loved the decor and ambiance. We will be back. Well done on a brave new venture.

We booked for dinner for four on a Thursday evening. There was a problem early in the day, with the rostered chef off sick but the booking was reinstated later when the off-duty chef agreed to cover. The restaurant kept us informed in a most friendly way. On arrival, we were greeted warmly and our hostess made an excellent recommendation of a bin-end not on the menu. We went for mains and desserts, one person having the chicken breast, two lamb shank and I had the cottage pie. All were excellent. We had two puddings and a generous cheeseboard shared by two of us to complete an excellent and enjoyable meal. We don't live in the area but we would certainly eat there again on a return visit.

Great experience, superb staff very helpful. Very nice room a bit on a small side but very clean and modern or high-quality towels and linen and toiletries. Overall very impressed. Had a meal in the restaurant, great service, great presentation of Food and compliments to the chef

The building is not really suitable for the owners’ aspirations. Don’t go by car – the car park is vestigial. Don’t bring any clothes – there is nowhere to store them (apart from two hangars behind the door). The place is at the southern end of Tenterden High Street - which is a busy road. Windows are single glazed, and in our room at least, without aircon, and prone to condensation. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room (these are in the small guest lounge), and no fridge. So a cramped room for £170. Continental breakfast is no choice. Staff friendly and quite efficient (but “You Guys” palls after a while).

Thanks for your summary. Alas our venue clearly wasn't for you. However as you will note your opinion doesn't reflect the high ratings we receive from a majority of our guests. As a listed property around 600 years old there are physical limitations on space as I am sure you could understand. Our website does contain details and photos and a map to help guests when considering our Inn, so it may be worth you doing more research to manage your expectations in future. I suspect you chose your Trip Advisor name Grumpytyke for a reason. Meanwhile all at The Print House Inn wish you well and thank you for your comments.

We visited the Print House after seeing there was a new restaurant on the site where a few have been before it. It looks lovely from the outside and we were really impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the staff and the whole atmosphere in general. They were very accommodating with our 2 year old who ate an enormous portion of food, so a thumbs up from her too! Food was good, priced similarly to like in the area and the drinks list was extensive with a great range of English wines. We would recommend and will definitely be back

We have never been made to feel more welcome. We called in advance to say we would be a bit late and everything was closed when we arrived. The owners went straight to the kitchen to prepare a cheese and vegetable platter, even though the chef had gone home, and to top it all, they would not allow us to pay!!! The breakfast was fab and very fresh but above all, the atmosphere was wonderful and the owners / staff went above and beyond. Needless to say, I highly recommend staying here!!

Had a couple of nights here, really pleasant and friendly hotel with working owners and great staff who all make sure you’re comfortable. Excellent breakfast included, Greek yogurt, cereal, fruit, toast/bread jam and pastries, juice and coffee, or pay extra for cooked. We had dinner and lunch here, both were first rate and the restaurant is clearly becoming popular with locals. Quieter rooms are at the back

Stayed here in order to visit Chapel Down winery (2 miles away) and couldn’t have been happier! Superb accommodation, dog friendly, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. The owners and staff are very friendly and the ambience is great. Food is lovely and they have an incredibly impressive wine list not to mention the gins! There is great attention to detail, including a beautifully presented continental breakfast (hot available on request) would most certainly recommend!
