We went to The Carpenters Arms for a Sunday Lunch in November and it was superb! Not only was the menu varied but the staff were really helpful and polite I had the Venison Pheasant and rabbit suet pudding which was excellent while the rest of the party had the venison roast which again they were very happy with A... Stayed for one night, due to go to a party but half wished we had stayed at the pub for dinner as food looked incredible. The room was a good size, immaculately clean, bathroom functional with great shower. Breakfast extra in the morning, but did not disappoint. Will be back in summer as the outside area looked perfect for evenings... More

Delicious Eggs Benedict for breakfast this morning.... enjoyed it so much we're going back for dinner tonight! Staff were attentive and well organised. They showed us the accommodation there which looked clean, comfortable and luxurious. When my parents next visit, they will be staying here!

As above . I stayed two nights with a break in between They were kind enough to store my luggage in the interim The rooms were well appointed although small Tissues in the rooms would have been good. Good showers with plenty of pressure

This is a fine establishment in a lovely setting. We went with friends and all enjoyed our meals. The boys had Pork Belly and the girls had Country Pork Sausages, Mash and Greens. There was a even a cumquat on the plate with the Pork. They serve Moet by the glass at Seven Pounds Ninety Five and keep it nicely... More

i've always enjoyed the quality of food here - however my husband had the guinea fowl last night which he didn't enjoy much nor did my son enjoy the pork belly. I've always thought the food was consistently good however am concerned it may be slacking - which would be a shame as this place is so convenient for dinner!!

I have used the Carpenters Arms as a pub and restaurant for many years and always been very satisfied with the quality and service - however of late there has been a deterioration in the service offered. Some staff seem more interested in clearing up and finishing their shift - customers are often left waiting at the bar to be... More

The place to eat is very lovely, the location is nice and the atmosphere and decor in the restaurant is also very nice. The food is more pricey here, however the taste it just average. Good for couples

We were 3 couples staying and enjoyed nice and clean rooms, a lovely beergarden and walks in the fields. Excellent located just outside the town in a quiet area. In the morning a lovely breakfast was offered ( not included!). Two drawbacks; loudly ventilation at back if you have open window and staff in the bar that seemed stressed out..
