Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We are just back from four nights at Hillside and we had a great time. Not least our ten month old puppy Teddy who was made very welcome on arrival with some treats in the room. He had the run of the gardens and played really well with the other dogs there. It has really helped meeting different dogs (& their owners) We had breakfast three times and they were excellent, plenty of tea and fresh toast. Jane and Sharon were great hosts!! Thank you we will be back!

We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Garden room which was spacious, clean & comfortable. Each room / Hut has it's own decking area with outside seating & ours overlooked the fields behind the house. Such a peaceful spot! Excellent breakfasts, cooked fresh to order & delivered hot to your room. We were made to feel very welcome along with our 2 dogs (even when one jumped in the pond!) and there were lovely touches like dog bowls, treats & their own towel provided. Thank you Jane & Sharon for a peaceful break we really enjoyed it.

We had a lovely stay in the delightful Fish Hut and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hillview. We were made to feel very welcome, including our dog who was spoilt with his own bowls, treats, towel and even a ball to play with. The hut had everything we needed and the gardens are beautiful and tranquil. My son loved hanging out on the deck by the pond - he didn’t want to leave! The delicious breakfast outside our cabin was a real bonus. Would highly recommend for a few days by the sea. Thank you Jane & Sharon, we shall be back!

A diamond found in whitstable. We messed up a booking somewhere else and found Hillview. Sometimes, things were meant to happen for a reason. What a delight, peaceful place. Seriously spacious! Quiet and peaceful. The owner Jane, is a lovely lady and very accommodating. It was a lovely, unique place and we’d comeback in a second. The photos don’t do Hillview justice. We had breakfast delivered to our cabin and it was hot and tasty.

We rented 3 cabins ,the fish hut, the oyster shed and the Cabin. All were spacious and had all you needed for a short break. The accommodation is child and dog friendly with plenty of outdoor space. The property is a quiet residential area about a 30 minute walk from Whistable town centre. During our visit the weather wasn’t brilliant but all the cabins have outdoor seating for a nice lazy breakfast or morning coffee. Tea, coffee , bottled water and biscuits are provided and replenished when requested. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend Hillview
