The Crescent Turner, Whitstable, is a stylish, 18-bedroom boutique hotel, set high up on Wraik Hill, overlooking the Kent coast. It has panoramic views of the sea and gorgeous surrounding countryside.

Whitstable is a family-orientated but fashionable seaside town - famous for its beach huts, Oyster Festival and quaint harbour. There are quirky, independent shops and galleries, Whitstable Castle and an increasingly popular arts festival - the Whitstable Biennale.

The Crescent Turner has individually designed bedrooms, a restaurant, bar, terrace area, gardens and superb view over the estuary and whitstable.

Head down to Whitstable for a family break or a romantic getaway. You'll love the subtle decor of this newly remodelled boutique hotel - less than two hours from central London. Of course, the beach is a major feature in summer, but Whitstable is busy and interesting all-year round, and there are wonderful walks in the Kent countryside and other pretty towns and villages to visit while you are here. The Crescent Turner Hotel

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for a mini break with family. This hotel is perched on a hill with spectacular views of the Thames estuary. The staff we met were all very friendly and welcoming. Dinner in the restaurant was high quality, though the dining room itself is somewhat cold. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of continental or cooked to order.

Rooms vary in size so check what you’re staying in and I thought the standard of cleaning in the rooms could be improved. There’s not a massive choice of accommodation in Whitstable itself but this is a high quality option.

Dear Guests. Thank you very much for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your first visit with us.I am truly sorry that my morning team didn't turned on the radiators to make our dining room a bit more pleasant. Usually is like a sauna, however our apologies that we missed out on this day. Thank you also for your brilliant comments about the quality of our food. Due to illness we have been severely affected in our housekeeping department, but is still no excuse not to maintain our very high standards. Please be assured that on your next visit, you will notice the improvements that we have made. Warm Regards Toni Spasovski General Manager

This is a lovely boutique hotel about a mile outside of Whitstable town centre. We were a party of 8 who were celebrating 4 birthdays in the group. The hotel staff were very accommodating on arrival by putting champagne and balloons in the birthday rooms. The hotel was beautifully decorated with modern decor and Christmas decorations throughout. We were in room 4 which was so tastefully decorated with really lovely features. The lounge area is beautiful and the hotel has fabulous views over the Whitstable Estuary. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was very good quality. We had three course meal in the evening to celebrate which was all very good, although I do feel a little more attention to guests who are celebrating would have been nice, but the hotel was full. The hotel manager is very visible and attentive in making sure his guests are happy. Lovely find.

My team and I are trilled that you enjoy your food and your stay,we apologise for the limited attention you received that night and thank you for understanding. Just had a delightful afternoon tea at the Crescent Turner hotel for four and it was excellent. The waitresses could not have been more polite and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Our tea was delicious with a variety of very substantial sandwiches, lots of little cakes and lovely scones with jam and cream. They were also very careful to ensure I did not have any salmon in my sandwiches due to an allergy.
Although we sat inside the doors to the dining room were opened wide and we enjoyed the stunning view over the estuary.
Thank you, we will be looking for another excuse for a celebration now so we can do it all over again!

The current owners/managers are working hard to deliver a first class experience. Staff we met were local and they are working to make food sources reasonably local too. We will go back as we like Whistable and this is an oasis of comfort.

We stayed at the Crescent Turner and the room was lovely, a little dark if I am honest and it was off of the main reception. You could hear everyone coming and going and people had been using the bar in the evening ... it would have not been peaceful. Luckily we were not there for the evening and attended a wedding offsite. (Perhaps that is why we were given that room) The hotel were very accommodating with allowing us to check in early and even prepared some lunch for us, despite the fact the restaurant was not yet open. This was very kind of them and appreciated.

Upon departure we have a challenge with the room rate charged. However, the young lady was not able to assist and referred to management. I will refrain from boring you with the details, however we checked out over 2 weeks ago and the matter is not yet resolved. Despite several mails and a 2 calls and despite believing the matter was resolved - sadly they seem to not care.

Such a shame, the hotel was lovely in many ways and the staff we met were also great. This poor level of service has left a sour taste. Just be aware for your bookings, once you've checked out and they have your money, you are no longer important.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in mid-October, and loved it.
We had a room with a sea view, which looked out over the sea to the Ilse of Sheppey and beyond. We also had a balcony, although the weather didn’t allow us to enjoy that.
The hotel is just a few minutes outside Whitstable, and taxis were easily arranged, so eating out in the town wasn’t a problem.
There were some works going on during our stay, but nothing that intruded.
The owner, and staff, were all very friendly and helpful. Just as an example: my wife asked for poached eggs on avocado for breakfast (which wasn’t on the menu) and they cheerfully obliged.
We’ve already recommended the Crescent Turner to other friends, and would definitely return.

Friendly staff, food tasted really nice and view was amazing but we did not get the chance to enjoy the view because it was a very bad windy weekend. Will devintely visit again.
I gave it a 4 star because we had the ground floor room next to the reception area and we did experience slight noise at night.

I recently stayed at The Crescent Turner Hotel. It is in a lovely situation just above Whistable. My room had a beautiful sea view and the staff could not have been more helpful. Despite some work being carried out for an additional restaurant I was given excellent meals and made to feel very safe in these difficult Covid times. I look forward to staying there again when it will have all its additional facilities completed.

We held my daughter’s Baby Shower in the Eucalyptus Room at Crescent Turner yesterday and I cannot rate the venue and service highly enough. Fran who I liaised with from the very beginning was simply amazing in every level going above and beyond to accommodate every fine detail we could have hoped for. On the day Sophie and Suzette looked after our every need with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. We have to say a huge thank you to Atila, the chef who created the most beautiful swans out of meringue, at my daughter’s request, the photographs speak for themselves. If you are looking to celebrate a special occasion, look no further than Crescent Turner, they were simply amazing🌸💞

We had a recent 3 night Stay from 14th October at the Crescent Turner Hotel, Whitstable. Sarah the Manager of the Hotel really made our stay, she was responsive to a couple of issues and ensured they were taken care of efficiently and without fuss or hassle. The whole team at the hotel were helpful and professional and I can recommend the hotel, the views from it's position are superb and we were extremely lucky that the weather was good in October for our long weekend.
Thanks Sarah for making us welcome

Sorry I am not sure, think it's best you ask the staff at the hotel. I have stayed on quite a few occasions and the staff are very honest and the place is wonderful if you don't want to be in the middle of everything

There were children staying in the hotel during the time of our stay. There is a large open space around the hotel for the children to run around in, however there is limited space inside. There are board games left out in the lounge, including backgammon and a compendium of games. A children's menu was available for breakfast but I am unsure about dinner. The children were young in age and appeared quite happy in their surroundings. The staff were attentive to both children and adults alike. I hope this has helped you to make your decision.
