Well this is our 4th visit with our dog. This time pod camping. There's so much to like here. Camping caravans...pods fishing. It has way more than your average site to offer at good prices too. Its super pet friendly and the staff literally could do more for you. Anything at all they are there. There are lakes to walk around or you can just relax and enjoy the nice weather. Most people are put off Camping by the facilities. DONT BE this place has 24hrs in door toilets and 7am to 7pm showers.... all immaculate and cleaned constantly. A little shop with all your needs too. If I could give this place a higher rating than 10 I would. You have to try this place once and you won't regret it. Also they do food as well. With all going off atm they still take orders and deliver and I can tell you now its stunning. Especially the breakfast again thank you callum. If your in two minds about booking don't be. It's a stunning place. We will be back time and rime again. Hope this helps anyone undecided.

Me and my partner booked a weekend of work and I booked us a weekend away fishing at wyreside, we are still here till tomorrow morning and have enjoyed it that much we don't want to go home, but tomorrow will be back to reality I guess, the staff have all been so lovely and helpful, our first time fishing although we had all the gear and alot of choice of bait we was here just over 12 hours and couldn't catch anything, lad called callum lovely guy come and gave us a bit of advice for carp fishing and malcom also took some time out of his day to come and set up my rod for float fishing and gave us some maggots and in the passed couple of hours we have caught 9, we are just happy we caught something our little lad couldn't wait to see pictures. it's been really nice and peaceful lovely scenery and we cannot wait to come back again, lady at reception who checked us in was very polite and just lovely, welcoming and respectful, also the guy who took us to our peg. jade in the bar great service, helpful, polite and whoever it was that cooked us food Saturday evening chicken curry it was amazing 100/10 for that, great chef!! So thankyou all for your part and for our stay we cannot wait to come back and will be sad to leave. Big thumbs up from JamieLeigh and Jay.

I took my dad there for a days fishing, between us we have over 100yrs experience, and my dads job was a water bailiff for the water authority,so he,s an expert in fish, handling, care, stockings etc,and at one point we had around 6x20yr old kids, who were staff, dictating at us,barking at us,we didnt know anything about fishing, and kept coming up with complete fabrications to boulster their lies. Egotistical kids, that couldnt admit they were wrong, and would rather us telling them where to stick it,rather than simply say, yes, you,re correct. Even when my dad explained he oversaw the building and stocking of the place, decades before they were even born, nope, just a wall of immature ignorance. Id never touch the place again.

Mr Bentley, the very nature of your review and the fact that you couldn’t wait to spread your untruths across the internet, the minute you left our establishment says a lot about you. You arrived and were greeted with respect, the same as any customer would be but when our site rules were explained to you by one of our water bailiffs, you would not accept our rules and began arguing with the bailiff. You did not have any respect in your regard to him and not at any point did he ‘bark or dictate’ to you, he simply explained that the interlocking hard mat that you had brought with you was not acceptable to land any fish onto. It was hard with no sides and not safe for the welfare of our fish. As any respectful angler would tell you that any fish can be caught on your hook so you have to be prepared with the correct equipment to safely place it onto. You call the staff ‘kids’ but 3 of the people present are actually over 50 years old and two of them are the founding members children and have been here for 30 years – they certainly do not remember your father helping theirs setting up the business? Instead of respecting our rules and simply asking for a refund and fishing elsewhere, you repeatedly tried to push your own point across, telling us we were in the wrong. Fish care has moved on somewhat over the last 100 years!

Great place. Have had baliffs take me to pegs and discuss features and tips. Pegs always well maintained. Plenty of space. Big fish. Excellent service all round. Just wish those big carp were easier to catch !!!
