My friend and I stayed on the Revive 50 package. I have to say, the spa was excessively busy - which felt unsafe, especially in these Covid times - and so was not at all the chilled out ‘Spa’ feeling we were hoping for. Not helped by the fact that the hotel is now surrounded by a work site - as a new housing development is being built. The outdoor hot tub looks onto the car park and houses - not countryside. The treatments we had (Be Relaxed and Be Grounded) however, were absolutely fabulous, as was the food served in the Courtyard Restaurant. The room was very tired-looking, with black damp patches around the window and what looked like old stains on the walls. We were shocked at the noise levels of the bar into the evening - having to call reception at 11.50pm to ask how late the bar stays open as it was impossible to get to sleep. They told us they would turn the music down, which they did, but then we were woken throughout the early hours by staff and guests talking and yelling outside our room (our room was at the top of the stairs) as well as people knocking on our door and trying to enter our room (clearly drunk and confused at what room they’re in). It felt like the place had turned into a party hotel, rather than the peaceful Spa Hotel it’s advertised as. This was not a restful night and totally ruined the stay for us. We had 24 hours away from our busy families to celebrate our 40th birthdays and were very much looking forward to getting some rest and relaxation - but we’ve returned more tired than when we left. So, so disappointed.

Stunning hotel with great facilities. Friendly staff always happy to help. Great location and the spa is fantastic. The food in the restaurant is fantastic but expensive. Drinks are overpriced but to be expected at such a nice establishment. Would go back again without hesitation

Stop here for a birthday treat getaway. On arrival all was good although very busy. Was really looking forward to the spa and pool. Facilities seemed ok changing rooms were very dated. Spa/pool were far to busy! They need time slots otherwise far to overcrowded. Especially with the spread of covid you'd think some thing would be in place. Room wasn't clean at all (no excuse) especially being 4*. Night cut short both me and partner felt really ill after evening meal. My partners veg was still frozen. Would I stay again.....? Probably not

Thank you for your review and your feed back is noted. We police the pool areas every 15 minutes and I have organised additional resources going forward for extra pool cover. Unfortunately we had a few team members off sick recently which impacted on our service level. Pool use tends to peak between 2 and 430 in the afternoon and whilst no 2 week ends are ever the same it tends to be very quiet after 530/6pm where you are almost guaranteed the pool to yourself.
