Stayed here on the 30th of December. This hotel is not ready to take guests yet.

The reception and bar area look really nice.

The rooms on floor 1 were damp and had an obvious flood stain the whole floor stunk of damp.

Had a 20% discount from bookers.com that was off all drinks and food all night, so Itvwas reasonably priced with that, ate in the restaurant soup and cheese pie was OK. The bar and restaurant was freezing everybody complained

I paid the bill then read it again i had been charged for one extra soup and 3 x Double vodka and cokes it was a £21.44 over payment, on check out I brought this to the attention of the manager and was refunded straight away.

This hotel will be a nice place once all refurbishment has been completed, but it is not ready at all for guests just yet.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. First and foremost, we apologize for the discomfort and inconvenience you encountered during your stay on the 30th of December. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continuously work to improve our guest experience. We're pleased to hear that you found our reception and bar area to your liking, and that the discount offered through bookers.com made your dining experience more enjoyable. However, we deeply regret that the condition of your room and the temperature in the bar and restaurant did not meet your expectations. Our team is dedicated to providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for all our guests, and it's clear we fell short in this instance. We also apologize for the oversight regarding the billing errors but are glad to hear that our manager was able to address and resolve the issue promptly upon checkout. We're excited to inform you that since your visit, we have completed our bedrooms and restaurant refurbishment, which includes addressing the issues you've mentioned. Our aim is to ensure that Park Hall Hotel offers a warm, comfortable, and enjoyable stay for all our guests. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we made these necessary improvements and hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to welcome you again. This time, we're confident you will have the pleasant and satisfactory experience you rightfully expect and deserve. Thank you once again for your feedback, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Gone to a Christmas party the hall was freezing. We was given portable heaters around the function room to keep warm. No Christmas decorations around the hall. Just Christmas crackers. The staff was freezing.

Took 20 mins to check in for one prepaid night.
No lift, room was on second floor at the farthest point of the corridor.
All of the doors to the water supplies between rooms, were open along the corridor. As was the cleaner/stockroom.
Ceiling was cracked with one board slightly flapping.
Carpet had clearly been flooded at some point as it was stretched by the bathroom door, all rucked up and very much a trip hazard.
One of the two pairs of curtains were coming off of the rail.
The clean towels were draped over the clothing rail.
The double bed turned out to be 2 singles that were not secured to each other so separated when I rolled over.
I moved to the single bed which felt like I was lying on a mattress made from bottle tops.
When I decided to have a cuppa…there was a dead spider in the kettle.
Two false fire alarms woke me and I couldn't get back to sleep so I left at 3.35am

As a solo guest I travelled to Park Hall Hotel and Spa to book accomodation for my freinds from the Wirrel to enjoy a girlie overnight stay in Chorley .
I had travelled the previous evening and spoke to Debbie who gave me a warm reception and information on the newly refurbished hotel which is exuberant with a lovely relaxing ambience.
I cannot fault the hospitality experience ,fantastic meet and greet from the receptionist Binela ,who went above and beyond to obtain a really good DBB rate and make a lovely Starbucks coffee on the bar ,followed by the lovely Ishita who persuaded me to enjoy the fine cuisine on offer, they are also doing brilliant 241 online restaurant meals , so it is living up to its name as a brilliant hotel .
Gladson the bar Manager 🍸 went the extra mile to accommodate the beverages and present me with a wonderful complimentary Spa 2 hour guest experience how wonderful 😀 x
I will really look forward to this and the fine cuisine presented by the chef and cocktails 🍸 on offer at the Mallard Bar
It was a memorable trip visiting Park Hall and all the staff are so professional welcoming and friendly catering to your every whim and desire .
Thankyou very much for making my midweek visit so special ,looking forward to returning for more future visits with family and freinds and I certainly would recommend 👌 embracing all the online offers Park Hall Hotel and Spa offer ,as I am sure it will be a brilliant 👏 leisure experience and you will not be disappointed.
Much Appreciation
Jane

Avoid. It’s been closed for a year . It’s crumbling . The gym area has buckets collecting water from falling in ceiling. Save your £ go somewhere else. Wrightington country club hotel is a million times better. There’s no motorway access from park hall hotel. It’s surrounded my crumbling buildings

The main reception area/bar/restaurant absolutely stunning nothing to fault.

Then we get out of the lift to the hotel rooms, the hallways were dirty it stunk of damp the curtains filthy the whole place and absolute disgrace.

The smell of damp/mould throughout all corridors and the room itself made me feel sick I dreaded walking through the corridors.

The room initially looked nice very dated and needs new furniture, But then looking closely it was filthy things broken the shower was cold. This was room 126.

I'm asthmatic and woke early hours with an attack later discovered the mould on the curtains and windows.

The floor boards in the halls were collapsing under your feet outside room 126.

There was an emergency exit we think out side our room prompt open all night long for anyone to access the hotel massive security fail!!

The food was lovely and then drinks were okay but the smell of mould you just couldn't get away from and the dirt.

The hotel should be closed down untill the entire place has had a full revamp I'm asthmatic and only 33 and it affected my chest for just one night if was someone elderly they may take quite poorly.

I've emailed the hotel to make an official complaint but I have had nothing back from them just yet I'm absolutely fuming.

Best of it is, is online there is a video going about of the hotel abandoned back in 2022/23 and since then last year this company (brilliant hotels chain) took over and there's two chairs in the photo in a corridor they are still there outside the room we stayed in 126.

There was jugs used in the restaurant that had been in the hotel whilst it was abandoned.

It's as if they've just opened it as it is and it's all masked by the glamorous reception and bar area.

I certainly would recommend you do not stay over night here.

We didn't stay at the hotel thank goodness. We were at a Christmas event and if it wasn't for the tribute act I wouldn't have given it one star. The room smelt musty as soon as you walked in and they had portable heaters staggered around the room that in itself was a health and safety hazard with trailing cables. The bar was understaffed so don't know how those that paid extra for the all inclusive limited time drinks package could possibly have got value for money. Especially in the absence of any table service. The food was barely passable as traditional Christmas fayre. The toilets were deplorable and the complete lack of organisation and staff was sadly very much evident. The place is being run on a shoe string and it shows. As others have written both Public Health and HSE need to visit as there are countless opportunties for improvement.

Myself and my partner stayed here at the weekend, and initially we thought it was excellent, we where attending an event and a business close by to the hotel (I will not name them) when we advsied them where we were staying as we had travelled from Scotland, they told us some horror stories, one being that the kitchen had some sever complaints in the past about the cleanliness and other things, with that being said we eat out that night, on return we had an early night as we where up early for said event, our neighbours who came in at 1am with no respect for guests at all, had an extremely loud night, if you know what I mean, let me just say the rooms are not sound proofed and you will hear every single thing, I mean everything, sounded like they had a great night though. I complained to management at 3am and had asked to be moved rooms, the noise continued in the room until 5am (some shift) and we werent moved at all, the language barrier was making it difficult for him to understand exactly what I was saying, I have now asked 3 times to have a refund, there is no contact number for this place and only looks like an email for Rafeez.

The place is muck, the chap behind the desk who checked us in was a great guy, he even sided with us and noted my card was on file so I should get a refund, He was the best thing about the place.

The place is not as described. It is a dangerous place to stay, the fire alarm doesn’t work, the appliances were not PAT tested, there was mould in the windows and blinds, a health hazard outside with a pile of mattresses. There was no cold water in the shower just boiling hot which scalded me after about 1 minute. On the booking it was described as a two bed cottage - we in reality had 2 rooms next door to each other - our friends had no hot water. The place is a dangerous health hazard - they didn’t have our booking and kept saying it was air bnb’s fault in how it had been marketed.

Hideous Hotel trapped in the past.
The food was underwhelming with one chicken dish sent back due to being uncooked in the middle .
Everything felt tired and tacky. Definitely would not recommend this hotel.
