There are 30 individually styled bedrooms which vary in size and positioning gently reflecting the period of the building. All rooms are en-suite and facilities include Telephone, TV, Hospitality Tray and 24 hour room service. Most rooms include trouser press, ironing boards or are available on request. All guests are welcome to use the Leisure club free of charge and if you fancy a round of golf you can enjoy half price green fees - just ask at reception.The accommodation is set over three floors with a spiralling staircase and glittering chandeliers. Due to the nature of the building there is no lift access to the floors so should you have difficulty with stairs please request ground floor rooms when booking. All public areas of the Hotel have wheelchair access.We have a range of packages from Bed & Breakfast, Dinner inclusive, Spa & Golf breaks, Conference/ Delegate and Corporate rates.

The room was sparse, smelled heavily of damp and the floor was wet. The furnishing would gave been outdated in 1971 and they"d managed to transport a 1980s bathroom forwad in time as some kind of ironic homage to bad taste. When i mentioned the smell and damp patch on checking out, the receptionist said sorry and walked away. Ok if you close your eyes and wear a nosegay.

Me and my wife had our wedding here. The whole place is unreal and I would definitely recommend for golf, weddings and hotel use. Hannah at shaw hill went above and beyond making the day magical, not only on the day but also for months before answering any questions we had making us feel at ease. The venue itself is perfect, plenty of room for everyone to chat and even the bar staff were brilliant all day.

We had our wedding here on 4th Nov, Hannah and Alec were absolutely amazing at making sure everything was to our satisfaction throughout the day and couldn't of done anything more for us. Nothing was ever to much trouble. The food was gorgeous. The venue is beautiful. I have never been to a wedding where the bride and groom are looked after so well and they made our day so special. If you are looking for your dream wedding venue this is the place to choose you. Thank you to everyone at Shaw Hill for there amazing service.

We had our wedding at Shaw Hill on Sunday 22nd October 2023. The venue itself is beautiful and the food was fantastic. There is nothing to fault with our wedding. The whole team were amazing, including Vicky and Jack, who couldn’t do enough for us. A special mention has to be for the wedding planner, and luckily for us, our Master of Ceremonies for our day, Hannah. Hannah is the best and if you get married here, make sure to ask for her. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, she was calm, in control and so lovely and supportive. Thanks again

We got married at Shaw Hill in September 2023. As soon as Hannah took charge it was amazing. Throughout the planning she was always there to help and she always kept us informed of any changes which actually helped our package. On the day she checked in often to make sure everything was OK and even sorted out a slight issue which arose with the florist. Me and my husband could not thank her and Shaw Hill for making sure our day was perfect. Thank you so much!

Came for a charity ball and made full use of spa faculties and had an amazing meal and event which was made extra special by the amazing staff. They worked as team and couldn’t be more helpful - taking photos and catering to all our needs. Very professional and hard working. Recently visited for the first time with my husband. We booked a spa day with afternoon tea, it was brilliant from start to finish, beautiful building and well kept grounds, Ellie the receptionist in the spa was lovely. The place was spotless. The afternoon tea in the main hotel was epic and so much food and in a room which was just like being in Downton Abbey. Service was again great I didn’t catch this lady’s name. Would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back. Thank you.

Unsafe. Man tried tried to enter our room. Reported twice seemingly no action taken. No reassurance and one even checked to see if we were ok. Shouting and swearing on corridors through the night . Noisy and scary. We piled furniture up against door as protection. As far as management we’re concerned we could have been attacked in our room. The following morning the man peered through our window. He then went back to the corridor and shouted ‘Get your f*****g’ clothes off- I’m an ex cop so you have to do as you’re told’. Again reported and again no return call to see if we were ok. We left the building and I rang the following day. No apology or concern. No retribution and no return call from overall manager despite been told that this would happen . My friend and I returned home exhausted from what should have been a relaxing , rejuvenating stay.…
