We booked in for a Saturday night B&B and we took advantage of the leisure facilities and treated ourselves to afternoon tea. The hotel is lovely and clean, we had a pleasant and spacious room within the original building. We both enjoyed our evening meal, steaks as a main course, and the chef made a sauce for my friend that... More

Stayed overnight with my partner and the drive up to the place was lovely. The reception, bar, restaurant and staircase was good but our room was very disappointing. When we checked in a lady was complaining about her room and we hoped ours would be ok....... We were in room 11. It is small with a very low false ceiling... More

Lovely place. Staff very friendly, good breakfasts, I haven't tried the restaurant yet, but room service is great. Good quality rooms, very clean, spacious, comfy beds. Beats a Premier Inn box any day when you are a regular visitor/resident to a place due to work...

Treated the wife to High Tea. The staff where very friendly and looked after us quite well. The only criticism would be that the staff needs to check on the clients more regular to ensure they have enough beverage, if they require more tea, coffee etc. Food amount was good not to much or little. Sandwiches-nice mixture Cakes-not to sweet... More

I have stayed in room 1 and room4. Both rooms are on the top floor of the hotel. Room 1 has spectacular view of the golf course. I stay there mainly on business. The food both evening and breakfast is exceptional and they hold a good selection of wines. They also have a nice pale ale known as the White... More

Recently visited for a spa/afternoon tea with family as a birthday treat. The spa area has a decent size pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. It's basic but clean and if you want to book a spa treatment, you can. The afternoon tea we had was lovely, all wonderfully presented, very tasty, good service, nice surroundings, we couldn't ask for... More

I attended an Autumn ball here on Friday. The room was beautifully presented and the food delicious.Homemade soup with a chunky roll and butter followed by succulent chicken, potato and lots of vegetables to go round our table twice, although some might have preferred that they were cooked a little more. Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream with tea or... More

We stayed on Saturday night and had Golf booked for Saturday and Sunday. Checking in was fine and we proceeded to our double 'room'. The room was by far the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in, the bed was not even a double bed, it was a three quarter size. The décor in the room was very shabby,... More

I have stayed here twice now and would not hesitate to stay again. The room was what you would expect from a manor house hotel. Breakfast was lovely and has ample choice, more than just a full English. Further more the gym on site is one of the best gyms I have been to that is attached to a hotel.... More

Really enjoyed our meal here. Excellent choice on starters, mains and desserts. Had lunch time £15 for three courses. Elegant surroundings and delicious roast pork mains. The sticky toffee pudding was nice but not very sticky... Could have done with more evidence of the dates for more texture. Ice cream was delecious too. Enjoyed coffee in the lounge area. Nice...
