A friend had recommended this place so we tried it. It was ok but we would not go back. I had fish and chips. He had chicken with parm (ham). Both were mediocre in quality. Dessert was good but clearly not made there. Service was adequate when we asked for attention. We were the only people in the dining room...

Lovely cosy pub on the fringe of Rivington. I visited with my wife and friends for a few drinks and to catch up with friends. The service was excellent, atmosphere great and although we didn't eat, the food looked lovely. Will definitely return to try the food. Overall great evening.

Service brilliant especially the elderly gentleman, very welcoming and attentive. The only thing I would say is considering its an old building the furniture could do with a bit of a clean, but...

We visited here on a family day out August Bank Holiday 2016 and sorry to say we were not impressed. Shame really as we attended a wedding here several years ago and it was superb. Ordering the first round of drinks was so very painful and I had to ask for the same drink three times before it was included...

I have visited this pub many times for the odd pint whilst in the area and always found it friendly and serving good ales. On these occasions there seemed to be many happy diners. So today decided to have lunch. As usual enjoyed a good pint whilst scanning the menu which offered standard pub fare - suggesting mainly frozen. Instead...
