Stayed here for a week on my visit to the area. The hotel is a little tatty round the edges. Paint needs touched up. Woodwork varnished etc, however the good thing about this hotel is the staff. Very friendly and helpful. I would be happy to return here.

Stayed yesterday and came home today quite disappointed. The room we booked was one of the excecutive rooms and didn't come up to the standard we were expecting. The room was tired the bed was battered and very small which ment I did not sleep at all and got up this morning

Stayed here on business and a wedding reception was held. It is currently 2 AM. Need to get up for work at 7 AM. Called the front desk about the blaring music and was told they can play music until 4 AM. Not sure why this is allowed or why you would have non wedding guests stay

Good price for our two rooms, breakfast very good, on site parking, swimming pool, spa, plenty of room for eating, but... Good have been better. Good things, quick check in. Good breakfast, large dining room but advise to book especially at the weekend. Good sized swimming

Booked the spa break for two. It was ok nothing to write home about. Unfortunately there is a dreadful smell when you go downstairs to the spa treatment rooms and changing rooms - May just be the age of the hotel and going down to the basement area but it was certainly off

Hello, I haven’t stayed over Christmas but use the hotel a couple of times a year. I haven’t found it to be dirty. The food in the restaurant is good, breakfast is very nice. We had my mother’ Wake there in January 2018. The food was excellent, service couldn’t be faulted, people hung around much longer than expected because everything was so pleasant even under the sad circumstances. Not a Christmas Party, but an event that went down really well thanks to the staff at the hotel. Hope this helps. Samanthalouise

I’ve stayed in a single room on several different occasions. The thing is the hotel has different wings and some are older than others. I think the hotel itself is 700 years old. I’ve found some rooms to feel older than others. But I’ve always felt it was clean
