Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited the site again this year for the fouth time. The lodge was again spotless and well set up. This site is a dream place to stay if you want a base to explore. In the evening it is so peaceful. Pendal hill is less than 20 minutes away in a car. Easy parking when you get there..

What a lovely site, came with our tourer, and decided we loved it so much we got a seasonal pitch. The staff are lovely and helpful and the site is so well kept. The bar and play part for the kids is just enough without it being to in your face like some other sites we've been to. Amazing organic farm shop just 3 minutes drive away with lovely food, so had a great bbq. All local villages within driving distance and all quaint. Good eating places nearby (driving) this really is an unspoilt area of England everybody should visit. Even on rainy days its beautiful 😍

Visited another Holgates site previously and the Ribble Valley site is just as good. Nicely laid out gardens, enough space between the vans, vans modern and clean. No doubt will be visiting again.

Love love love this site! My second year booking the same caravans (1&2), we went as a family of four with our friends who are a family of four too. This site is lovely and quiet, there isn’t that much onsite, but that is a bonus, as it remains quiet when you would expect it to be busy, as we go in the kids holiday time. Caravans were immaculate, the only draw back with caravan 2 was that there was no picnic bench outside. It wasn’t a problem to us though, as we used the one outside the caravan we were in (number 1) throughout the whole holiday, so we didn’t bother mentioning it. There is a little playground for young kids & a field to play football on for the bigger kids, we all took advantage of that as we all enjoyed a kick around. Ideal location for walking either straight from the site or getting in the car and driving for 10-15 minutes to walk. Pendle Hill in spitting distance as was the forest of bowland, Skipton & Clitheroe. Also, a fab little cafe at the bottom of the hill in Gisburn, we had breakfast on the morning we left and it didn’t disappoint, we did the same the previous year. We will be going back next year for the third in a row for sure!

Had yet another week at this fabulous site, always welcoming, spotlessly clean and convenient for all the Ribble Valley. Nick, Sue and their team are friendly, efficient and brilliant at their work. As usual faultless. Many thanks again Stewart

Arrived for our third visit to this site . Stayed in the same three bed lodge. Lodge was spotless as usual. This site is very quiet and spotless as well. Reception staff are very helpful. The views are stunning from the lodge and there are plenty of places to visit from there.

we came for the weekend in our motorhome. The pitch was good with electric hook up and water very clean park with a club house where we had a great Saturday night doing the quiz which was a lot of fun.The staff are lovely friendly and helpful location is a bit out of way so I think the park could really benefit from a small shop .

Just returned from another lodge stay at Ribble Valley. Spotlessly clean, caring friendly staff and so peaceful. Other companies should note the standards set here always. Holgates deserve all the plaudits given, many thanks for yet another enjoyable stay, oh and by the way the weather was a bonus!

We stayed in a holiday lodge which was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The site is beautifully kept and in a tranquil location. Places such as Clitheroe, Skipton and Colne are not far away and worth a visit. We particularly liked the beer hall at Holmes Mill. Trips up Pendle Hill and the sculpture trail are worth doing as well as the hike around Stocks reservoir.
