We came as a group for the weekend & from start the finish, the whole experience was exceptional! Every single member of staff came across as though they throughly love their job making it feel like such a wonderful place to be. Dave in particular was fantastic & made sure we had everything we needed for our stay & remembered every persons name making it feel like a personalised experience. The hotel itself was clean and tidy & had a homely feel to it especially with the fireplace. I had duck confit & breaded Brie wedges for my meal & these were perfect. Everything came out in good time. I can’t find a bad word to say about it & I would highly recommend to anyone! I would say it’s one of the best customer experiences I have had.

The most wonderful venue with excellent organization by the brilliant staff. The hotel is delightful to start with but the staff make it the best in the north of England by far. Dave the incredible master of ceremonies aided by his delightful assistant Dee could not have made the day any better. They solved problems amused us all and ensured that everything went smoothly all of the time. Even looking after and playing with the small children. This is an amazing place to hold a wedding . The whole experience was amazing, from being upgraded to a beautiful suite with very comfortable bed and a warm and cosy room. Excellent evening meal followed by drinks sat around a gorgeous roaring log fire. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. We always enjoy our stays with you and will hopefully be returning again soon.

This hotel was so comfortable...from the warmth and friendliness of the staff, the huge log fire and comfy seats in the lounge, to the large bedroom and bathroom. We saw the hotel transformed from Autumnal to Christmas decorations whilst we enjoyed the Heritage Trail at Bolton by Bowland coming back to the wonderful service and food in the Seasons restaurant. A memorable short break and we can't wait to come back!

Stayed here whilst attending my cousin s wedding. Never visited before, but we will definitely be back for a stay. Beautiful hotel,stunning grounds . We d booked afternoon tea on our arrival which was lovely, and really enjoyed our evening meal there also. Breakfast was gorgeous,lots of choice, and nice to see local produce being used . The wedding was absolutely stunning, it ran like clock work and everything was stunning , attention to detail was perfect. Dave was very good and funny during the wedding breakfast. Would recommend anyone looking for a wedding venue to definitely consider here . All the staff were friendly and helpful, a special shout out to the Lady with the short blonde hair ,she was on reception and in the restaurant, she was amazing, very helpful and so friendly, a real credit to this lovely hotel ( I m sorry I can't remember her name, I think maybe Louise !) This weekend we celebrated our parents Diamond wedding anniversary. We chose to stay at Stirk House after a family recommendation. We were so well looked after and everything about our stay was just perfect. Some of the nicest staff you would ever want to meet. Beautiful setting, really great staff and we had a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The hotel has a lot of beautiful original features. The Standard bedroom was well equipped and very clean, fluffy towels, toiletries and kettle etc. Wide choice for breakfast. Competitively priced.
