Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited Wigan Premier Inn J27 as a convenient stop off travelling north to Scotland. Room was clean and comfortable although the bathroom was in full working order it required some TLc. On site is a Hungary horse pub and resturant offering cheap meals and beverages. Premier Inn outsource all there catering arrangements to the restaurant. It worth looking at their Menu if you are considering the £7.99 continental breakfast, particularly if you are like myself only require toast and preserves and coffee, it makes it an expensive option. I would certainly stay here again on my next visit north. Also to mention there is a garage next to the Inn, ideal for a fuel top up before recommencing your journey.

Stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting family in nearby Shevington. Check in was very good and girls were all friendly when we needed anything. Room had a view of a field and it was like being in the country. Mattress was very comfortable and have to say it was really hot in room. Husband had a thing top on and was still warm. Would definetly stay again when in area,

Brilliant place to stop, great location for a last minute stop off from the motorway. I’ve had recommendations from friends and family when travelling to Wigan, specifically the Standish area. It’s the best hotel in Standish to stay. Everywhere else is either expensive or filthy. The good old reliable premier inn didn’t disappoint. It’s basic but that’s the point. Why do you need any additions? Free parking on site, pub next door was great. The Room was spotless. The Staff were lovely and welcoming. What more could you want? The value for money was exceptional!

Disappointed that as a family room it was on the second floor and one of the last rooms on the corridor even though the room was booked weeks ago. As a parent with two young children it was awkward to be able to get everything into the room as there was no lift to be able to move easily. As a single parent definitely wouldn’t recommend for a family stay
