Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fantastic food, hosts, location and atmosphere. Best breakfasts ever! Lots of Amanda’s homemade goodies to sample, be prepared to gain a few pounds …totally worth it! Amanda and Graham couldn’t be more welcoming - already looking forward to our next visit, which will definitely be in the very near future.

Beautiful rural location on a quiet lane surrounded by fields. Loved the cooked breakfast and all the cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and delicious homemade jam and marmalades on offer. Lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

It was our first visit since Covid and everything was as special as we remembered! Amanda and Graham are very charming and welcoming hosts! Nothing is too much trouble! Beautiful, very comfortable accommodation and wonderful breakfasts! The house and garden were beautifully decorated for Christmas! It was a lovely way to spend a few days getting into the Christmas spirit!

This was the highlight of our entire 10 day trip to England almost. Amanda's breakfast was to die for! We had ginger cake upon our late arrival and tea. The accommodations were comfy and homey and the conversations were even better. Such wonderful people, definitely want to come back and stay longer in the future.

We had a wonderful stay with Amanda and Graham, though I think my son will always remember it as "Bryan's house." There were many fluffy and winged friends eager to greet us! Homemade marmalade, bread, and spectacular countryside views made it a special stay. Gluten-free accommodations and special attention for my son made us feel like we were with family. We were sad to leave!

Mandy and Graham are possibly the nicest hosts in the entire world. They just can’t do enough for you and others. This is the ultimate quintessential British B&B experience. A cosy warm home, wonderful guests and the best hosts. Our room had everything we needed and Mandy went to extra lengths to ensure I was looked after (as I’m Gluten Free) from biscuits, to cake and even GF fried bread (what a treat) in the morning with one of the best fry ups we’ve been treated to in a long time. We loved our stay. Highly recommended. Andy and Jo.

Such a nice place to stay. The breakfast was great and the owners are extremely nice and hospitable. If there were 10 stars, I would also give all of them. The location is just a few minutes outside the nearest major town and this is very advantageous as you can enjoy the typical British country life. I was traveling for work and therefore had little time, but I felt very comfortable and would gladly come back anytime.

Great place to stay - revisited for the first time in 3 years. Great to get away from it all to visit old friends. So relaxing to sit on the balcony and admire the views over the local countryside in peace and tranquillity. Highlight of breakfast (which is outstanding quality by the way) was to sit and watch all the birds coming and visiting the feeders in the garden. So many varieties of bird to watch and so soothing to watch them - made a nice change to the busy working week. Mandy is such a great host - welcomed with tea and a slice of home-baked cake! Shown to a sumptuous room and made to feel like one of the family, especially by Bonnie and Mabel the two golden retrievers - the cat is more aloof! Thanks for the perfect break, already booked for a return trip next summer.
