Just had a fabulous weekend in the farmhouse with friends. Sue met us on arrival with a warm welcome and to show us how to use one of the most important facilities - the hot tub! So lovely to sit out in the tub of an evening watching in the distance. The farmhouse itself was perfect - really well equipped and very spacious, yet still keeping a lovely cosy feel. The views from the front of the house are stunning - it’s hard to believe the centre of Melton Mowbray is just 5 mins away. This is a beautiful place to escape from the real world and we will be back!

I have just got back from a long weekend with friends at this amazing farmhouse. The farmhouse kitchen is huge, has everything that you need and is the hub of this lovely home. The farmhouse is spotless; the hot tub gets checked twice a day and if you stay in the twin then you wake up to the sound of Lily the horse being led to the barn - heaven :) Sue is such a lovely host, nothing is too much trouble for her and your stay being enjoyable is extremely important to her. Whilst the world is going through strange days, Old Guadaloupe Farm is the perfect place to get away from it all. For the fishermen out there, there is a place 4 minutes walk away with seven fishing lakes. None of us wanted to leave - but we had to. We'd all recommend this destination and plan on booking for next year. Thank you Sue, for making our stay so perfect.

We stayed in the cottage for a four day break early March 2020. Sue was very welcoming and made sure we were familiar with all the cottage features including the hot tub before she left us to it. The cottage is really warm & cosy with a lovely comfortable bed. The shower is powerful and roomy. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. There are plenty of supermarkets in nearby Melton Mowbray for your groceries. The hot tub is excellent especially at this time of year, very relaxong with a glass of wine! We can recommend the Sugar Loaf pub at Ab Kettleby (approx 4 miles) great welcome and lovely food. We really enjoyed our stay and were sorry to leave, we will definitely be back. Many thanks Sue!

I wanted to find somewhere that the whole family could be together with friends to celebrate my 50th. I didn't want to travel too far with the possibility of inclement weather at this time of year. I found this little gem on the internet and couldn't believe that we had passed this place so often without even realising it was there. We only live 9 miles away from the farm. As previously stated by others the accommodation is first class and we booked both the Farmhouse & the Cottage to accommodate everyone. Sue was a wonderful host and we really enjoyed the cosy feel of the lounge on a cold winters night. Not to forget the lovely hot tubs. The farmhouse kitchen is extremely well equipped & a wonderful place to sit together and have a meal around the large table which comfortably accommodates 8 people. Old Guadaloupe Farm will definitely go down as one of my favourite places to visit and I am sure that we will return. Thank you once again Sue.

Well where to start....such a beautiful far house with so much room. Sue was absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. There was 1 couple with an 18 month old (cot was provided but bring bedding), elderly father and myself. The farm house caters for everyone from playing pool, hot tub, lovely walks and cooking up feasts in the amazing kitchen. We found that Sue had made sure you had enough dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, shower gel etc they thought of everything which was very handy. We instantly felt at home upon arrival as the house was just perfect for all of us and so much to do. The house was lovely and warm too which was nice as it’s windy and cold outside. The bedrooms were absolutely beautiful so pick quickly to avoid arguments haha. Our little one enjoyed looking around the stables and seeing the horses. WiFi was good considering you’re tucked away on a hill. Hot tub was clean and ready for use upon arrival which was perfect as we had plenty of fun in that. We would recommend The Royal Oak at Great Dalby for Sunday lunch (£20 for 3 courses) such a fabulous place and welcomed small children. All in all we will 100% go back all of us really loved it and we couldn’t recommend it more to people! Get booking guys and thanks again Sue x
