Found the pub and their owners Ann and Alan excellent giving information about the local area. The area was wonderfully peaceful and handy for the Rutland and the surrounding areas. Food was wonderful. Will definitely visit again.

As a business man I stay repeatedly at the Crown, it is friendly, clean and the food is great. The review by Raynor Bellamy is a farce and she has a biggotted approach to others who with to enjoy themselves. She obviously turned up on bike night, however the bikers are mostly in their 50's and 60's, they drink soft...

We loved the idea of visiting a traditional country pub while in the area but as we arrived we were greeted by a congregation of bikers and foul mouthed drunks smoking on the front doorstep. We decided not to be put off by first impressions as the reviews were good and went in for our meal. The wait for food...

What a lovely, peaceful location. Handy for everywhere you want to visit in the Rutland area. Alan and Anna could not have been more welcoming, fantastic hosts. Lovely fire going in the bar area. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was really good. Will certainly visit again and thoroughly recommend...

Drove past today and have found a gem that we will definitely re-vist. Called in for coffee and stayed for lunch. Couldn't be more accommodating. Loads of gorgeous veggies with lunch, and not covered in butter unless you ask for it, so brilliant if you are trying to watch your weight. 10/10. Great coffee too :-)

A friendly welcoming pub with three bedrooms. Excellent choice of real ales. Good bar menu and nice restaurant. Nice well appointed bedroom. Quiet village location. The staff may struggle to cope with prompt meal preparation at busy periods. Patchy wifi.

We were driving a long journey so picked The Crown because it was half way. The room was comfortably furnished, bed excellent, toiletries excellent quality and plentiful, plenty of towels and a large bath. Hosts very welcoming and helpful, food excellent. Extremely good value for money. It feels like you are staying with friends but without the need to socialise!...
