What a lovely place this is. In a little village in the Yorkshire dales. We were warmly welcomed and shown round the lounges and given a history of the place. He then took our bags and shown is to our room. We stayed in kickers gill which is a suite at the front of the house. The room was lovely,...

Myself and my partner wanted to spend a relaxing weekend in a country style hotel away from it all. The Traddock met all of our requirements. The staff were unbelievably helpful, the food excellent if a little sophisticated and the hotel itself was full of character. The canapes before dinner were delicious. There was fresh milk in the room which...

An excellent hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, the food excellent. The best element is the "real" dog friendly welcome. We recommend room 8 "Norber" as this has a door straight into the garden so ideal for dog owners. Very good indeed.

To be honest, I can't think of anything about this hotel that was less than excellent. I know people say "to praise everything is to praise nothing" but finding fault with The Traddock is difficult. The best feature for me was the food, which was amongst the best I've had, closely followed by the level of service. The lounge areas...

Where to start, we have just spent a lovely night at this wonderful cosy hotel set in the Yorkshire Dales. I had searched high and low for a hotel for my husband's birthday treat. I found The Traddock via Sawday's and as soon as I read the details it sounded perfect, and it was! From entering the building to leaving...

We arrived at The Traddock on a whim to stay in the area even though our day had started with just an intention to go walking in the dales . We got the last room ( a cancellation ) and from booking to settling in our room the service couldn't be bettered. The hotel itself is beautifully furnished and feels...

We took advantage of their mid week offer and had a lovely one night break in a fantastic room (room 7). The service from the reception, bar, restaurant, and at breakfast was really friendly and engaging, and the food was fantastic. Our favourites at dinner were the crab, lemon sole and the pineapple. Our first visit to the Traddock, but...

5 guys spent a deeply lovely 4 day walking trip here. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the food was of a consistently high standard. Comfortable and very well run, they catered very well for walkers' needs and I am looking forward to a return trip.

We stayed for two nights, using the special winter discount rate. We have visited many times before, so we knew we would get a warm welcome. They hotel makes a note of all traveller requirements, so we were happy to see blankets on our bed rather than a duvet. The meals were superb. The curried butternut squash soup was incredible!...

We enjoyed a lovely relaxed stay at this very comfortable hotel. Our room in particular was beautiful, very traditional but oozed charm and character with an absolute sumptuous bathroom. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal and I personally think it was excellent value for money. When I first read the menu I was a trifle disappointed as...
