My wife and I stayed here recently to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary and we were very pleased with the choice we made. A lovely, quiet and elegant property with great views, great food, lovely clean surroundings and very friendly and attentive staff, making for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. We were also blessed with lovely weather, allowing us to...

We stayed for one night whilst walking in the North Yorks Dales. Very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, comfortable, if not spectacular, room, all very clean. The restaurant was excellent. Canapes and amuse-bouche followed by Yorkshire Quail, Venison and an amazing cheese board. Not what we were expecting in the middle of nowhere where the local pub closes on a...

There is always a nagging fear returning to a favourite location after a couple of years that someone has in the interim been "at it" and a wonderful hotel has sprouted a large conference centre or some other monstrosity like the hotel equivalent of a wart. We therefore breathed a huge sigh of relief to find that the things that...

Stayed 2 nights at the Traddock. Excellent service, excellent dinner and accomodation. The breakfast was very good, but it was not prepared to the same standard as the evening meal. I had the lamb and the venison for dinner and they were perfection on a plate. We had the room at the front of the hotel and we loved hearing...

A comfortable and relaxing base for a three-night stay in North Yorkshire. Stunning countryside all around with some great local walks. The room was very comfortable, decorated in period style befitting the hotel's Georgian origins. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds. Our particular room had a bath which was a plus. It was great to have the option of...

All-round excellence must be very difficult to maintain in the Hotel trade, especially when your reputation relies on so much attention to detail, but The Traddock pulls it off with a relaxed and friendly aplomb. Both public and bed-rooms are all tastefully 'period', all different and all delightful, decorated with fascinating antique furniture and everything is well cared for, including...

We stayed for one night - right from entering the hotel we were made to feel really welcome. The staff are the friendliest team we have ever met - nothing was too much trouble. Most of the hotel was booked out with guests attending a local wedding, so we were the only residents dining in that evening (a group of...

We booked quite last minute for a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. After a long days walking our welcome was warm and a quick tour of the facilities revealed a roaring fire and plenty of rooms to relax in. Our room really did surpass our expectations. On the top floor, our room was beautifully furnished, great view over the dales...

We stayed for one night after making a last minute booking and were very pleasantly welcomed by the open fire and friendly staff. Dinner was a surprise with complex dishes which made a real change from the normal restaurant fare that has become simpler over recent years. Lovely location and some great walking close by. We will stay again.
