Built in 1906, with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall is at once grand and stately, warm and welcoming. Owned by the Dugdale family until 1977, the hall has played host to politicians, courted royalty and delighted socialites over the decades. Yet despite moving in stately circles, the house has stayed true to its roots as a place of entertainment and relaxation. Now it is yours to explore. Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our 37 bedrooms (17 of which have recently been refurbished following a £4 million restoration of the Hall's East Wing), plan your perfect day and take over the hotel for your wedding or inspire your delegates with our meeting facilities.

Spent two nights at Crathorne Hall on a sightseeing visit to North Yorkshire. The Hotel is beautiful being set in a lovely rural location and with great facilities. We had dinner in their restaurant on the day we arrived and was so impressed with the food quality we booked

We are regulars at Crathorne Hall and it has been our place to celebrate special occasions. Enjoyed Christmas Day lunch here many times but this year will be our last. Too many tables crammed in and not enough staff. Our table of 11 was wedged into a corner meaning that all full

Dear Sylvia, Thank you for taking your time to share your feedback online. I am very sorry to learn that you felt the 50% refund we agreed on was in no way compensation for our shortfall in service, I am also disappointed that you felt that you couldn't express this to me in December 2018 when we discussed the matter. I have offered my sincere apologies and fully acknowledged the shortfall in service to your table by means of our agreed refund. This is certainly not our usual standard of service as you can see from all of the very positive reviews we have, including others from Christmas Day. Please contact me directly if you would like to discuss the matter further. I do hope that at some stage you might reconsider your decision to return to Crathorne Hall and we would all look forward to welcoming you back. With best regards Elizabeth

Special offer DB&B + fizz . Hotel is old world and modern both at same time with modern facilitated bedrooms and lounge rooms that would do well as a TV set for a gentleman’s club. The restaurant was excellent with good menu choices at reasonable prices considering the top

Hi has anyone stayed in one of the classic rooms who can comment on what they like thanks
We only live a few miles away but stayed here for my brother in laws wedding in a classic room and it was lovely. Like others say a little old fashioned but it’s all in the runni g theme of the hotel so fits in just nicely. Bed very comfortable and it was immaculate. Hope this helps.

Cannot give definitive answer but my experience was that prices equivalent to usual hotel prices. Good wines list. Best to ask hotel for copy of drinks tariff.

Is this place dog friendly?
Hi....As we didn't travel with dogs we can't really confirm one way or another. The hotel does have extensive grounds but I'm doubtful that the interior layout is the best for dogs. I suggest you contact "Handpicked Hotels" directly on 01642 700 398 Sorry I can't be of more help..... T
