Stayed for the evening with my husband and parents for my birthday. And what an amazing experience we have had. From the moment we arrived our room wasn't ready as we were early but this was not an issue, we were welcomed into one of the beautiful stately rooms where a tablecloth was laid and the fire was lit to...

We booked for a late valentines evening . Delux room, amazing comfy bed, great power shower. But the evening meal, was out of this world, immaculate service, delcsious food, all presented in a beautiful old hotel. The breakfast alothough nice could have been much warmer. Lovely walk around the grounds after breakfast. We felt rejuvenated I would recommend the lovely...

I booked a deluxe room which is the third tier of five categories and the room was incredibly disappointing. I had to walk crab-like between the bed and the drawer unit to get to other side of the room. It was what I would call a standard executive room up in the 'servants quarters'. I have no ideas above my...

We had a fine stay here for one night and would strongly recommend readers to visit. The staff were really friendly throughout our stay both at reception and at meals. The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice-the porridge was divine-taken in the main restaurant in a beautiful room, where we also had our dinner This Hotel was converted...

Lots of charm, character and history. Reasonable room (no mini bar) and ordered room service - no bottled ales (!) so had a lager. Fish was nice, but chunky chips only briefly shown the fryer. Struggled to eat them. Good service at breakfast and nice friendly staff. Slightly prefer the Judges Hotel down the road.

Just returned from a great night away with my partner at Crathorne Hall. We stayed in the Whitby room which was spotlessly clean and well equipped with fast wifi, a modern TV and a nice array of toiletries to name a few. The lady on reception (didn't get her name unfortunately) was very friendly and helpful, as was the hotel...

My daughters wedding was between Christmas and New Year. She chose Crathorne as they offered exclusive use of the hotel and seemed very professional. Unfortunately halfway between booking and paying deposits etc the original wedding coordinator left and there were a few problems with what was agreed as original emails went missing. Luckily my daughter kept everything and the Manager...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1906, with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall is at once grand and stately, warm and welcoming. Owned by the Dugdale family until 1977, the hall has played host to politicians, courted royalty and delighted socialites over the decades. Yet despite moving in stately circles, the house has stayed true to its roots as a place of entertainment and relaxation. Now it is yours to explore. Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our 37 bedrooms (17 of which have recently been refurbished following a £4 million restoration of the Hall's East Wing), plan your perfect day and take over the hotel for your wedding or inspire your delegates with our meeting facilities. ... more   less
