We arrived at via a sweeping tree lined drive revealing the hotel and it's beautiful gardens. We had booked an afternoon tea with a voucher from Red Letter Days. Unfortunately I hadn't printed off the voucher and only had the activation code but the receptionist Vicky quickly sorted the problem out with a phone call. The staff were all lovely...

Excellent stay at this hotel very relaxing the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help you.A beautiful setting for a stunning hotel, our room overlooked the garden so peaceful the room itself was very well designed and furnished and very clean . There is no doubt we will return to this stunning hotel.

Excellent, friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic food and beautiful grounds. The place was recommended to us by friends and we could see why. The room (Mallard) was clean and a reasonable size but the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Would certainly return but would ask for a different room.

Stunning building and grounds. It is what Fawlty towers would have been if Basil wasn't there. I would thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel with exceptional staff to anybody visiting this part of the country.

Having read some of the reviews we were initially dubious. But we Loved it! Good choice of sandwiches, tea and coffee. My scone (fruit) was delicious, my husband's (plain) not quite as good. The waitress was attentive. The location was very good. we enjoyed our visit and would definitely book again.
