So travelling from Leeds your looking at nearly 2hrs, it's 6.5ml inland from Whitby. Fantastic historic building set in huge grounds, grand entrance really gives the feel of the historic past.rooms very elegant & stylish. We booked Grinkle Park for my birthday stay when we called for lunch. The reception staff are very welcoming and we were shown our room very quickly. The room was lovely with a view of the trees lining the car park at the front of the hotel. The bar is very relaxing, we had drinks there whilst waiting to go...

very nice place with a big park to walk in. The rooms are very spacious and we felt very comfortable. Only the bathroom needs a modernization. There are lots of rhododendron, it must be amazing when you're there at the right time.
