We've added all the fun we could fit into a caravan holiday at Blue Dolphin Holiday Park. There's our heated indoor and outdoor pools and multi-lane water slide. Or how about a spot of freshwater fishing on our lake or a trip to the golden sand of Filey Beach? Rain won’t stop play when our indoor SportsDrome has a Climbing Wall and a Roller Disco to enjoy. There’s no end to the fun you can have on this lovely stretch of the Yorkshire coast.

Lovely trip back to blue dolphin we were in a great spot with our caravan right by club and shop also not far from Filey beach and filey brigg- just ashame we had a view of a 5g tower which it so big it cant be missed disappointed that the site has this on. Swimming pool is very small for amount of people in it and changing rooms need better facilities for babys. We had chip shop and the chips looked like they had been sat in oil all day so much vinager think they were trying to give them flavour. Great and lovely to see someone actually says bye to you when you leave as many site's don't have this now.

My family and I spent an enjoyable bronze caravan short break at Blue Dolphin. We all enjoyed the stay and thought the caravan was good, having everything you could possibly need. It did have two minor issues, two lounge lights didn't work and the shower attachment was broken, but these didn't spoil the break at all. Parking was a bit of a problem though. My daughter got to the site before me and pulled up as close as possible to the caravan to unload and promptly got stuck in the muddy grass. She sought help from the sites staff but was told they couldn't assist because it was breaking health and safety rules. Fortunately, once I got there, with lots of kind assistance from other site visitors, we managed to get it moved to a more appropriate area. Overall we enjoyed the site, being pleasantly surprised at the amount of good quality food and drink options available. Furthermore we enjoying the entertainment on offer. Our only gripe would be that, while the day time activities provided are plentiful the cost is somewhat prohibitive and can work out very expensive. Nevertheless it was a very agreeable break.

Hi David. Thank you for your review and we're glad to hear you enjoyed your recent stay in your bronze caravan and that the entertainment was a highlight. Thank you for letting us know about these minor issues and whilst we are glad these didn't spoil your stay, for any future visits, if you have any concerns with your accommodation, you can log these with reception and they will let a member of the maintenance team know you require support to get these resolved as quickly as possible for you. We hope you return soon!

We stayed for 7 nights 5th to 12th April. Stayed in 29 Hawthorn Drive 3 bed silver grade. The caravan was ok but not the best silver van we've had. The sofas felt hard and uncomfortable and the 2 seat one was very small. The beds weren't very comfortable either and I struggled to sleep. The caravan was a good size and had lovely decking with table and chairs. No dishwasher which we have had previously in silver vans but not guaranteed. Powerful shower but not very tall, my daughter who is 5ft 10in tall struggled to fit under the shower head. We had an ensuit toilet and a bathroom, the toilet seats were unusual as they were on a sliding hinge and the seat moved when you sat down, at first I thought they were broken but no, just badly designed! There was no path leading up to the caravan and we had to walk on the muddy grass to get in because the decking had been built over the path. Haven should build a new path. I purchased a food and drink card but I wished I hadn't bothered as the food in the Brigghouse was poor and tiny portions. Poor choice for vegetarians and food out of stock. The deals now have less choice than they used to and many now have a premium suppliment cost to the 2 for £18 deal. We had Sunday lunch and even the ultimate size lunch left us still hungry. Papa John's was great though. We had the family pizza deal and it was amazing great value. We didn't have the play pass so didn't use the facilities but they looked nice and clean the arcades were a rip off but they are everywhere you go. We had days out to Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington and enjoyed them all. We got the number 13 bus and the 555, both were regular during the day and the £2 bus fare was great. Overall we enjoyed our stay but not sure if we'll be returning back to blue dolphin.

We have just returned from a midweek break with our 6 year old son. Whilst it was enjoyable for the most part there were a few things that let the place down. I’ll start with the positives: Accommodation - we had the silver package and ended up staying in a privately owned caravan which is let through Haven. The accommodation was perfect, clean with lots of additional features such as a box of games which my son loved. Location was The Larches which in the day is perfect, but I’ll explain later why I wouldn’t stay there again if returning. Activities - for my 6 year old son the activities available for him to do was great. They were so reasonable priced as well so he did something every day. The activity team were friendly and engaging with the children so a big shout out to them. Swimming pool - the depth of the pool meant my son could stand up practically all the way along and as he has only recently learnt to swim it gave him real independence. He also loved the slide, and again was able to be independent and go on himself. He also did the inflatable session they offer which he enjoyed immensely. Location - we were only a few miles from Filey and not too far from Scarborough so had a couple of trips out. Would recommend a visit to both Negatives were as follows: Noise - whilst the larches location was perfect in the day at night it was another story. We were very close to the entertainment centre so had to endure the music each night until midnight. I don’t believe that anyone staying there should have to listen to that level of noise. Either they need to soundproof the venue or turn the sound down. Cleanliness - whilst the caravan itself was clean some of the main areas leaved a lot to be desired, in particular the swimming pool changing room which had trails of mud throughout. Staff need to make people more aware to remove the shoes before entering the changing area. Also people in general just need to be a bit more respectful and not leave dirty clothes and nappies when they leave. The table area around the takeaway areas was also not clean. Haven could do with a few more people just doing a regular check of these areas. Equipment upkeep - the playground near the shop needs some renovation as there missing of the equipment missing or badly worn which could cause injury. Also some of the equipment for the activities had seen better days, such as the archery equipment. Overall we had a good week but it could have been a lot better without the noise issues we experienced and if the site was cleaner.

Thank you for taking the time to us your review. It's great to hear that your little one enjoyed the activities - especially gaining confidence in the swimming pool and going down the slide by himself. We're happy that our wonderful activity team were on hand and we will be sure to pass on your shout-out to them. We appreciate your feedback on these other areas that would make a difference to your next stay and we will share this with the wider team. Thank you for letting us know you had a great week overall.

Really enjoyed my recent holiday at blue dolphin. Will certainly return again sooner rather than later. Entertainment in particular was great for the kids and adults. Only negative they was not much for the 16 year olds. Might leave them at home next time 😂.

Positives: great entertainment for children, ours danced the evening away with the tots disco finishing at a good time at 8pm. Staff including entertainment/security very thorough and engaging. Cleaners in the shower blocks present/friendly and hard working with all the mud. Negatives: Swimming- mud trailed into the changing areas, lack of space to take shoes off before entering changing area- yes we did balancing on one foot. Staff not reminding people to take shoes off and also lack of active cleaning- had to ask for the cubicle to me cleaned before we could change- covered in mud. We stayed on hard standing touring plot, never again surrounded in sludge. Caravans being towed on and off by tractors 🚜 ... surely more cost effective in investing in good hard standing plots that extend to the road abd include pebbled area for awning ? We will be looking for an alternative site in the future which is a shame as a couple of changes made we would go back.

We like Blue Dolphin and this is our 2nd visit. The staff are generally pleasant and our kids have fun, which is the main thing. It's also convenient for local days out. I am however disappointed with the state of the pool changing rooms this time. We've been swimming 3 times so far and every time the changing rooms have been dirty. To add to my disappointment, when we arrived today, there were 2 members of staff at the reception chatting (whilst a further 2 watched the pool). They were definitely both lifeguards so I question why one of them wasn't checking/cleaning the changing rooms during this time? Surely 1 could cover reception, 1 sit in the chair, 1 watch the slide and the other clean?! There wasn't anyone else around to discuss this with and it was outside of reception hours.

Haven Holiday with the kids was absolutely amazing! The staff deserves a 10/10 for being so incredible with the kids during the sessions. And even though there was a little issue at the fish and chip shop with the gentleman working alone and handling demanding orders, he definitely deserves a raise for doing a fantastic job! The caravan was spotless, thanks to the super attentive cleaners. The check-in experience was warm and welcoming, and everyone there was just so lovely. I totally recommend Blue Dolphin - there's always something fun to do!
