Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On arrival we were met by the male owner of the guest house, very chatty and friendly but never saw his wife throughout the stay. Room was clean and tidy. On the website it stated when booking a superior room that breakfast was included and this didn't seem to be the case when we enquired about this, we were told that we wasn't booked in for breakfast just for the room itself. The website also stated that it would be an extra £7.50 pp for breakfast but this was never offered. Paid £285 just for somewhere to sleep and have a shower. The bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were feathers and as an asthmatic I struggled to breathe. Never offered to change the pillows when we asked. Recommend by the owner to go to a pub for food, we went there and it was not welcoming or nice we walked straight back out. The only way you could contact the owners of the guest house was via a mobile number, they didn't seem to be around much. Will not be returning to Filey after this experience.

A very warm welcome from the hosts as soon as we arrived. Such lovely people to talk to and so approachable. Given a large bedroom with double and twin for myself, husband and child. Room was immaculately clean and bright. En-suite was small but more than enough for the room. Tea/coffee and biscuits left daily. We slept so well every night, such a peaceful guest house. As for breakfast, I was delicious. Cereal and juice available as soon as you arrive in the breakfast room. Then full breakfast cooked fresh to order. It kept us going all day. I highly recommend this little gem of a place and would stay again, just like my parents regularly do.

Had a cracking 3 night stay here while visiting Filey with family & friends. Owners were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Room was large and comfortable with a good en suite. Location was great and only minutes walk from all town amenities and seafront.

The couple (Graham and Julia) are so friendly and welcoming. They gave us really sound advise places to visit, transport to take, which was very much appreciated. The breakfast was brilliant nothing was too much trouble for them, they catered for all our needs. Would 100% recommend to everyone and definitely go back.

Nice clean b&b serving a good breakfast, the owners are a very friendly couple and helpful should you require help. The b&b is well positioned for the town or the beach, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars just a short walk away.

My partner and I have stayed at the Binton several times now, and each time has been brilliant, it's not only a case of visiting our favourite seaside Filey, but it's also seeing Julia and Graham at the Binton, that makes the holiday even more enjoyable they are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are always first class and the breakfast gives you a great start to the day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. Keith and Bernadette. Flintshire
