We booked a seaview Platinum at Brigg View for 3 nights, never having been to this site before, but liking the idea of a guaranteed sea view. We are 60 year olds with our 35 year old daughter and 3 year old granddaughter. We were originally booked for last year but chose to cancel and rebook for this year. We were a little concerned about the fact swimming etc has to be booked, but we needn’t have worried as there was plenty of availability for everything. Our daughter and granddaughter went swimming on all 3 days and said the pool and lazy river were perfect, very clean and warm. We went to several of the character shows and managed to meet them all, much to my granddaughter’s delight! The entertainment team were all lovely, the drinks prices were pretty standard, and it was great to be able to order on the app and get table service. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. The beach is lovely, and goes on forever. Beware of the fact there are no toilets down there though, and it’s a long way back! We walked down and got the tractor back up. Our caravan was spotlessly clean, spacious, and well equipped, with a stunning view. Unlike other reviews, we had a good mobile signal and 4G at our location, and the free wifi in the club was very good. The site was quiet and well maintained, and all the staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We had one small issue with service in the restaurant, which we reported at reception and it was professionally dealt with. If we had one niggle, it was that the cleaning team were hovering around outside our row from well before 9am, which made us feel like they wanted us gone, even though we didn’t strictly have to check out until 10am. It made us feel uncomfortable, and we felt was a bit rude. We will definitely be booking for next year, we’ve been holidaying with Haven on and off for 28 years, and they never fail to impress….in fact, the highlight of our holiday was when they played the old Tiger Club theme tune in the club on Sunday morning, and my daughter and I had a nostalgic dance!

We visited Reighton Sands on a Haven Hideaway holiday and would recommend to anyone. The new check in system seems complicated to start with but isn't when you arrive. You register your car registration online before your stay so that when you arrive security can check you in your given directions to your caravan which is allocated the day before so I would recommend looking at the park map online. When you arrive at your caravan the door is unlocked and the keys and welcome
pack inside. The caravan was very clean as always and we had no issues. The park has social distancing measures in all public areas and are cleaning everything all the time. We visited the restaurant after booking a table they are using disposable menus and cleaning tables we felt very safe. The food is served very fast as you only half one and a half hours booked but the food was of good quality and the servers were very friendly. On checkout you do need to strip your bedding and remove all the rubbish which also made us feel that Haven was taking everything seriously. Would definitely recommend Reighton Sands to anyone and we are returning in October can't wait.

Stayed here for 5 days in August. We chose our caravan as with parents with walking difficulties we wanted one as close to the main complex as possible.

Our check in time was 3-4pm, we arrived at 2.50pm , check in was very quick & easy, great staying in your car & getting it all sorted, I was told out caravan was ready so headed straight to the caravan.
We were on Oakwood, we had a glimpse of the sea from the main caravan window otherwise we were just looking onto other caravan.
Only a 3 minute walk to the main complex tho which was great.

We stayed in a bronze standard which to be honest I feel was more like a saver it was very basic, it was clean but had a few minor issues the blind in the kitchen kept falling down , and the curtain rail in the twin bedroom was a wonky & felt like it would fall down at any min. The outside of the caravan could of done with a good clean I also noticed a lot of the caravans were very dirty & would of benefited from a good clean.

We purchased play passes, did not use the swimming pool so can not comment.
Went to the shower each night ( was queuing from 4.50) each night to get in the club didn't open till 5.
We went for 5 to play cash bingo which was good value & enjoyable. Bar prices were reasonable but again long ques as only 2 members of staff serving which you know it's the summer hols will be packed they definitely needed more staff. You can use the haven app serve but I couldn't get mine to work & I would hate to think if you did how long you would be waiting.
The entertainment we saw was fab & my daughter really enjoyed it.

I can not comment on the food in the restaurant as reading reviews before I went I decided against eating there. Went one afternoon to have drinks which was a nice atmosphere sat on the decking, I used the haven serve app & wasn't waiting long for drinks.
The food I did see come out was of small portions & did not look very appealing.
Went to cooks one night for chips & sausage they were nice & yes was waiting but I felt not very long.
The supermarket on site was fully stocked & prices were what you would expect.
Lovely base to explore many great places around. Lots of nice places round eat off site & lots of takeaways to chose from some will even deliever to the site.
Be warned I could not get a signal on my phone or any WiFi the only time I got WiFi was when I was in the main complex & connected the haven Internet.

My friend and I thought we’d leave the men at home and bring the kids away for a few days before starting back at school. We got there ready for the usual afternoon book in only to be told our caravan wouldn’t be available for another 3 hours. If you’re due to come here, wait for your text to arrive (late in the afternoon after usual book in time) to be told when to arrive. Over 5 days managed to get 3 hours swim, had to book a table in the restaurant for the kids to go on the nice play park but after booking a table for 7pm and queueing for 20 mins at starting at 7.10pm were told our table had been cancelled as we got to the front of the queue at 7.29. Got to the point where we just looked at each other, shrugged our shoulders and turned round and went back to the caravan. Not even worth venting our frustration. It was almost to be expected the way the rest of the week had gone. Had to book for everything which is sort of understandable seeing what is happening in the world at the minute but, WOW, certainly no holiday when you have a time schedule to stick to. Have that in a normal week at home! Home sweet home. Came here as has an outdoor pool and thought it would give kids a little bit more freedom, hahahahaha not! It’s only accessible through the indoor pool so still only get an hour (if you’re lucky). Everything booked online apparently, if you’re able to get WiFi to do this you’re better than me. Entertainment was quiz night and then a girl singing, it was so loud the speakers were buzzing: I have never written a bad review but this really deserves one. The only plus side is the caravan was spotless and the cleaning staff are bending over backward to make sure everything is regularly wiped and sterilised and there is plenty of hand sanitiser in the main building and amusements. It says face masks to be used in the communal area but I don’t think haven have heard of face masks. Security Woman on the door did nothing but ask the children where they were heading.....take a wild guess einstein seeing as there was only amusements or swimming. All in all if I didn’t have a sense of humour I think I would have slashed my wrists by day 3, as it was I went with my best friend and a group of lovely kids and a whole heap of board games, oh and a bottle of gin. Think I’ll be leaving haven for the foreseeable Future. Have fun

Thank You for your review. I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the new arrivals process, Unfortunately in the current circumstances we do have to stagger our arrival times as the check in is contact less and we have increased cleaning times in order to ensure we are operating in a safe and secure way. Where possible we do try to be flexible however this is harder now due to the new system. Holiday prices also reflect this. In regards to the booking of venues and swimming, this is in place so that we can social distance and adhere to government legislation. Our main priority is to keep our guests safe and secure whilst on holiday with us. The wearing of face masks is required in the communal areas and in the amusements, we do have signs up to advise guests but we do have to rely on guests to adhere to the policies. All team wear face masks in the communal areas. Again i do apologise and hope you will visit us again in the future. Hannah Jaques Holiday Experience Manager

If anyone is thinking of booking a Platinum Caravan with Decking on an exclusive area on Reighton Sands think again. We went in August having booked last year and paying what we knew was too much for a week in a caravan, however we went as a family for a special holiday knowing the Grandchildren would like it.
This was sold to us as aquiet peaceful area of the park, with amazing sea views across Filey Bay and overlooking the Brigg and Bempton Cliffs.
Firstly the view we had was of caravans which were being moved around each day, the football pitch was directly in front of us and the language some evenings was so bad we could not let the children sit out on the veranda. We had no chairs or a table on the veranda until our daughter went to see why. We had the oldest ugliest ex pub furniture delivered as you can see on the photo. We wrote to complain and were offered the insulting amount of 10% and were treated very off handedly. The excuses were ridiculous, considering that these caravans were advertised last year they were not ready for us in August. . The day we arrived the caravan next door was having the veranda built so we had that noise until 6pm. .
We had no kitchen knives and had to ask for some towels as there were no hand towels. We could not use the dishwasher so bought washing up stuff and tea towels. A repair man came on the Tuesday ,we had been there since Saturda) saying the cleaner reported the dishwasher on Saturday
Be warned the views and peace are not there!

Caravan booked through Haven was really clean although the kitchen was ill equipped compared to others we've started in. We had no frying pan and no large bowls at all but strangely there was a leaflet holder in the cupboard. We went to reception about the missing equipment and were told it would be delivered within the hour but it was more than 2 hours which was very annoying as we were waiting about for it. The "paint a pot" didn't include planting a seed in it and the ranger seamed to know nothing about this despite it being written in the description of the activity which we paid for. Slime making was very good. The pool was good although there are no slides at all. The indoor pool was just a basic pool from 90cm to 120cm at its deepest. The outdoor pool was also shallow but had a lazy river, water jets and spouts. Chilly but acceptable. The pool changing facilities weren't great. The floors seem to hold a lot of water compared to other pools, staff wait until the end to squeegie it away. Not enough family changing rooms (2) and many of the locker doors are very hard to open (jammed) and appear to be locked when they aren't. The restaurant was clean but not a great experience. We placed 2 orders at the table at the same time, with a total of 5 meals on, but there was 45 minutes between the first order of 2 meals and the second order of 3 meals arriving- meaning we couldn't eat together. I had to ask if our second order was lost and the waitress never came back to tell me the answer however 15 minutes after I asked about them, the remaining meals arrived. Sadly my burrito was barely warm. The location was very good and the shop was well stocked. There is no WIFI on the park apart from in the entertainment building and we had no mobile signal inside our van at all. We were in Pine Ridge C39. There's parking along side the van but no decking. Van had 2 WC rooms, of which one included a shower. 3 bedrooms.

Followed instructions given and arrived at allotted time between 2&3, car registered so no need to show confirmation invoice. Beware, map sent the day before did not show exact caravan and was missing the row number, good job it was told to us at the entrance but as it was why bother with sending details? Booked a Prestige caravan advertised with a TV in the bedroom - it did not and there was no ariel point so never an option. Reported to reception as also only small TV in the living area, no problem, friendly staff who arranged to swap the TV straight away. Caravan and site clean but quite remote from anything, beach always wet due to tide and forethought required to plan beach time however it was a lovely beach, not so good if you cannot walk well.
Loved Filey and will definitely visit again possibly using this site.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Haven Reighton Sands resort. We booked a deluxe caravan ( not a haven hideaway stay) at Oakwood area with an allocated check in time of 3-4pm which was ideal for us. The caravan itself was lovely and well equipped with everything we needed for the 4 of us and within easy walking distance of the main facilities.

The park itself was small but felt very friendly and we especially liked the lazy river + pool which was great fun!! This was booked in advanced like everything else. The beach was a nice short walk away and it was absolutely lovely for morning walks.

The show bar however we found very very disappointing, of course things can’t be the same due to everything at the moment but the entertainment which was put on for guests was dull and drab and the seating area wasn’t particularly great either.

The Hawkwood bar had a lovely outdoor seating area which unfortunately we didn’t get to visit very much. Before arriving, we were told we could just walk in to the outdoor part and get a seat, but this was all changed last minute and we were told we had to book. We asked to go in when there was only about 10% tables taken but we were still refused to enter which is confusing when it was very very quiet. When we did eventually have a table booked, the service was very very slow even though there was hardly anyone in and lots staff walking around not doing much looking like they didn’t want to be there. Staff not accommodating and made us feel uncomfortable as if they tried to find a reason for us not to be allowed in.

We had day trips to both Filey and Bridlington which are both definitely worth a visit!! I would say Filey is the quieter slightly nicer town but Bridlington is great for young children for the amusements.

I can understand that rules are put into place because of the coronavirus but overall i can’t help the feeling of it not feeling like much of a holiday due to there being rules for absolutely everything making us feel very restricted throughout our stay. For example, every time we walked into the main building we had to give a reason why we were going in there. Saying that, it was a nice stay and the location was great. And just to mention that the reception staff were absolutely amazing , friendly and very helpful throughout our stay!!

Thank You for your review. I am glad to hear that you found your holiday home to be clean and well equipped and that you made the most of the surrounding areas we have close to us. Brilliant family weekend away. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Caravan was lovely. (We chose a newer model 3 bedroom one) Clean comfortable. Wifi. We’ll equipped kitchen. Outdoor seating.
Restaurant was great, food tasty pub grub and fair value for money.
Literally the only negative was there were no towels at all in our caravan and when we enquired they couldn’t be added on or bought onsite either.
A very helpful 24hr security man found a pack of clean towels about 10pm and dropped them off to us though which was hugely appreciated. Thankyou to that man!

Just returned home from 4 nights here Monday to Friday. We had a prestige caravan with wrap around decking which was great for our 2 year old as we could leave the doors open and just lock the gate. We paid £650 as we booked last year. The same holiday for next is over £900 now which is too much for 4 nights. The caravan was spotless. Very clean. Bathroom was the cleanest we had stayed in. Very well equipped with everything you’d need for a self catering holiday although we are out at the Hawkswood restaurant every night. The food was decent for the prices. It was around £10 for a main meal. Monday and Tuesday the food took around 30 mins to come. Wednesday was around an hour but then Thursday it seemed like they had more staff so it only took 15 minutes and was the best of the week. Can recommend the sloppy Joe burger 👌and the Thai green curry especially. The children’s meals were adequate but we found our daughter needed the larger kids meal. The entertainment staff were great with the kids and my daughter loved the seaside squad. We could only book one session for the nighttime entertainment but after talking to the security guard who was very accommodating we realised we could book manually with them if there was space and we could go 15 mins after the session started if there wasn’t and they would let you in if there was space. Pint of carling was just over £4 but was really nice all week so was the dark fruits. We booked swimming twice which was good only issue being the lazy river was freezing. There was a sign up informing you it wasn’t works properly so would be colder than normal. Direct beach access was great although again only issue was the tractor to pull the land train was broken and the walk back up is very steep. We saw other tractors working around the site so we wondered if it was a lack of staff to run it was the reason it wasn’t. The beach cafe is great and has a toilet. Shop on site has a good selection of essentials that were decently priced. We would use it next time instead of doing a big shop before. All in all we had a great week and will be coming back. I’m hoping the few minor issues were down to coming out of Covid restrictions and next year there will be no need for the booking system for swimming, restaurant and entertainment.

I went last Easter and didn’t see any flies. Went again in August and was plagued by them. Also in August there was a leaflet about the flies in the welcome pack. There wasn’t one at Easter. So in my experience I would say it’s a seasonal thing. Hope this helps.
