We stayed for 2 nights with our granddaughter in our mobile home. The site is a great location with friendly staff and has good facilities- bar, swimming pool , shop, fish & chip shop on site. We made use of all of these- granddaughter loved the pool with the sides and fortunately it wasn’t too busy when e went. The fish & chip shop is a fantastic addition- food was great and reasonably priced for being on site. The bus stops at the bottom of the drive and we went to Scarborough for the day. There are also cliff walks which we would have enjoyed but the weather was bad & it was so muddy so too treacherous we thought. The children’s play area was great too. There are plenty toilets and showers which the staff worked hard to keep clean but difficult with all the mud. Also, not the staff fault but some other clientele were dirty - leaving rubbish like nappies & wipes in the shower. We were lucky to be on a hard standing with our motorhome but the grass pitches were very waterlogged and not helped in part by people driving and parking on the grass. We would definitely visit again though and hopefully in better weather !

Arrived just before the reception closed and the member of staff was helpful and very informative. We were on the lower super pitch which were great and the showers and toilets were good and kept clean along with the site, the fish and chips were delicious, the staff throughout the week were helpful and welcoming. The pool was great, shop has a great selection, bar has a good selection of drinks. We will be returning soon, thanks to the team and staff at Crows Nest. Graeme D - pitch 9

Lovely site, clean and tidy, even though we were staying during the windiest few days in April. Shower block clean and tidy. Could possible do with another hand dryer as there was only one, it didn't dry hands very good, blowing cool air not warm. So had to dry hands on clothing as no paper towel available. Fish shop on site is a bonus, if you order the large fish and chips make sure you're really hungry, excellent portion size. Pub, could do with up dating, other than that we enjoyed a few drinks. Will definately be returning.

Me, my mum, my 3 children and my dog spent 3 nights at Crows Nest in a caravan hire. I was so impressed with how clean the caravan was, much cleaner than other sites I have stayed on. The campsite was lovely, quiet and in a good location for trips out. My children and I used the swimming pool everyday, £3 per person and unlimited time in the pool. The pool is quite small but was not busy at all so it felt like we had it to ourselves really. There are three slides at the pool which my children loved. The changing facilities at the pool were very clean, every half an hour or so one of the young people working there would clean them. The shop on site is well equipt and reasonably priced. The fish and chips on site were divine. The playground was a hit with my toddler and 9 year old. My dog loved running free in the enclosed dog field and we all enjoyed the abundance of walks and sea views. There is a pub on site but we did not use it. And there is a small games room which could use some updating but that didn't hinder our visit at all. All staff were friendly and helpful. We had an amazing 3 nights there. I would highly recommend this campsite, I preffered it to the much bigger and well known sites near by. I will definitely be booking to come back. Well done Crows Nest!

Great price per night (we travelled in a motorhome). Good hard pitch for the van and electrical hook-up etc. Fantastic location for travelling into Scarborough, Filey and Whitby. Incredibly family friendly. Lovely indoor pool - warm, three waterslides, good changing facilities. Great playground, games room and space to run around. Fantastic well thought out shower facilities and really clean. Great chippy on site and well-stocked shop. The lady on reception was really pleasant and helpful. We had a fantastic short family break and am sure we'll return. Being in a motorhome we used the local Beeline Taxis to get around for day trips who were great- we can recommend their app too.

We stayed for a week in a tent from 30th March, and although there was enough mud to excite the middle classes at Glastonbury, we still had a great time. The kids loved the park like they always do, and the fish and chips were great as ever. The weather also gave my young kids more time in the pool than usual, which is always clean and well attended. We've been coming to this site for over 16 years, and we can't wait to come back in August.

Following wet weather the site had great organisation on their grass camping pitches, with advice on check-in on where to avoid, but help at hand for those who chose to push their luck! We found a great patch, in easy reach of the extensive and immaculate toilet / shower block - even with all the mud that was lurking!! The camping field has amazing sea views and perfect access to the costal path, whilst there's also plenty of room on site to take a stroll. The whole site is excellently maintained, but keeping the feeling of freedom and relaxation (rather than uptight rule keeping) that we go wild camping for! We've already recommended and will definitely be back!
