The Pheasant has arguably one of the most beautiful Country Hotel settings in North Yorkshire, over looking the duck pond in the picturesque village of Harome. Originally converted from what had been the blacksmith's shop, village shop and barns, the main part of the hotel offers one single and eleven double rooms, whilst in the sheltered courtyard are two suites, the Pheasant Suite and Plum Cottage, each with its own private entrance, two further family rooms which each have two bedrooms and the heated indoor swimming pool. The stylish and highly individual interiors - designed by Director Jacquie Pern - give the accommodation a homely and welcome feel, which continues throughout the public areas: the lounge, bar, conservatory, dining room and terrace, providing a variety of options of where to eat or enjoy a drink. The Pheasant has established a reputation for great food under the capable hands of Chef/Director Peter Neville. Residents and non-residents can choose from a wide range of menus, all taking advantage of the wealth of local, seasonal produce, including a fixed price daily Market Menu, the A la Carte, and a Tasting Menu with optional matched wine package. The Pheasant has been awarded Welcome to Yorkshire's "Small Hotel of the Year 2016". In 2014 The Pheasant was awarded the Yorkshire Life "Small but Special Accommodation" Award. The Hotel has recently been awarded Three AA Red Stars Inspectors' Choice Country House Hotel. Seasonal and special breaks are available throughout the year.

I met up with friends for afternoon tea and had reserved a table in the lounge. As it was a pleasant Saturday afternoon I was pleased not to be sat too close to the open fire. We were served quite promptly although having asked if anyone had any allergies/dislikes were still

Everything appears to be the best at The Pheasant. Harome so we are told. On this sort of recommendation, we booked here for Christmas 2018 and we could not have been more disappointed with the whole setup. They were totally overbooked with a mix of Residents and outsiders

What a beautiful hotel. We arrived after a chilly walk and had coffee and scones- it makes all the difference when the scones are served warm! The evening meal was wonderful and served by friendly and helpful staff (particularly Liam). I'd recommended the duck breast, delicious.

And we cannot wait to have you back, Rowy B! What a lovely review - thank you so very much. We have passed on your kind words to Vicky and Liam and indeed all our team - you are quite right when you say the staff are proud of the Pheasatnt - they are, and we are proud to have such a great team working with us. Come and stay with us next time - our rooms are great too! Kind regards, Peter Neville and Jacquie Pern (owners)

Hello, The swimming pool is open to non-residents, although we do require to know when will you be coming. The fee is £5 per adult everytime you use it. There is also an annual membership with a cost of £50, although at the minute there are no memberships available and there is a long waiting list for it. Thank you

Hello, we have a room that is next to reception on the ground floor and there is not steps to get in and out of it and the hotel, the only slightly issue is that the bathroom has a bath and not a walk-in shower. Thank you, Nuria
