We stayed to attend a wedding and loved our room and the venue. The fire was light in the bar and the staff were more than happy to help. Each room has its own identity and everyone commented on how comfortable and clean the rooms were. A beautiful place to stay for a lovely relaxing weekend..
We went here this evening on a recommendation from our Airbnb host. What a treat for us We had a fabulous meal, excellent service. We were looked after by Miles, who, I have to say, despite hi quite short time in the job, he was quite exceptional, great skills, knowledge and above all else, oozed confidence, a score of 11 out of 10 for Miles, well done and thanks for looking after us tonight
We came for dinner at the Pheasant Hotel on a Sunday evening. The hotel and restaurant itself was so cosy and had a wonderful atmosphere. We loved having cocktails in the garden! The food was amazing (as was the wine). What we liked most was how attentive and friendly the staff were, we could not fault them and nothing was too much trouble. It was such a lovely, memorable end to our holiday.
What an absolutely perfect place !! Booked a night to celebrate my birthday and chose The Blakey room which was lovely overlooking the garden and village pond. Everything you could wish for including the complimentary sloe gin. Drinks before dinner in the sitting room which was lovely and the menu had too many scrumptious choices. The food, wine and service were perfect and we were treated like royalty. After dinner we relaxed in front of the fire in the bar area and was so warm, cosy and relaxing. We didn't have a dip in the swimming pool however we will next time we come. The Pheasant has something very special with a team of staff that make a visit even more special. Must mention Chloe, who was there at dinner and breakfast and was truly charming throughout.
beautiful rooms and setting. Tasting menu was disappointing - noise from the kitchen and a dessert with undissolved gelatine. What was a shame was the lack of customer service when these were brought to their attention
A special occasion evening with friends and relatives. We were delighted with the friendliness and professionalism of the stay. One of our party needed careful advice due to severe food allergies and we found staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Very nice atmosphere and beautiful bedrooms. We will certainly go again and in fact have already booked.
Tonight, we drove from one end of Yorkshire to the other to celebrate my 65th Birthday. On arrival we were seated in the Conservatory and all was good initially. We were sat next to an empty table which became occupied by 6 very noisy women. The conservatory made the noise level even worse and we could hardly hear the waiters describing each course of the tasting menu. The food was generally good, just 1 bad couse out of the 7. Would we come back ? Definitely NO
What a lovely break we had, so relaxing. Love the touches in the bedroom and kudos to the housekeeping team for not a speck on the bath mirror! In fact one of the cleanest rooms I’ve stayed in. Yes, there were a few hiccups - wine bottle presented but not asked to taste nor poured throughout our meal we did ourselves. Shower pressure very low, discussed on checkout and I’m assured will be taken on board. Quality of meat outstanding at dinner. One thing that did make us giggle was at breakfast, my bacon rind was not crispy and a piece of foil under the bacon I did ask for it to be crisped, however the breakfast chef must have taken umbrage and it came out rather well done with burnt bits on - Monday morning offerings, lol. Good menu selection for breakfast. Staff were knowledgeable, courteous, happy and loved what they do which is a refreshing change. Will be back! Thank you to all.…
Absolutely fantastic venue, good cocktails, great wine and bubbles selection, Michelin star level food, all the staff are well trained to a high level of hospitality and nothing is a problem for them. We hosted our wedding weekend there and they did everything perfectly, felt like a home away from home, especially infront of the wood fires in the bar and lounge areas. Could not recommend more highly!
Had an absolutely amazing stay at The Pheasant. So we’ll looked after from beginning to end. Ambiance is fabulous, the bedrooms have everything you need and more. We had Borge afternoon tea & dinner and both were amazing. Staff so hard working, friendly & professional, couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you for a wonderful much needed stay.
