Fantastic place for lunch, excellent food ( loved the bread !) The signature Fois gras and black pudding starter is amazing ! And the main course turbot was equally good. The service was excellent. ! Eating out doesn't get much better than this !

What a delightful outing in the Yorkshire moors! For several years The Star Inn has been selected the gastro pub of the year...with reason. Without a reservation, we were seated in the old bar. I have seen the thatched cottage described as "Tolkien", low ceilings, gerrymandering rooms. The menu was truly local - shot roe deer, fresh morels and asparagus,...

We recently visited The Star Inn at Harome to celebrate my 30th birthday as a family. From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely perfect and none of us could fault it. We stayed in rooms 7 and 8 which are situated in the annex - a separate building to the main hotel (no noise issues there!). The rooms...

was expecting a lot as the gastropub of 2017!so a little disappointed-chilli con carne and rice was fairly uninspiring.turbot and squid were decently cooked but unsure about the raw radish slices.very good potato dauphinoise.slightly odd dessert of crumble with ice cream-challenging for the dentally impaired!

We had a wonderful birthday dinner on Easter Sunday evening. What a treat in the private dining room. Fabulous food, super service, and a great rugby ball shaped birthday cake made by Nathan. Thankyou!

A return to this lovely oasis. Wonderful menu, fine wines and seamless service as anticipated. Certainly worth the drive out and our meal was served perfectly presented in style, full of flavour. Captain Medley Isle of Man

My husband booked us in for our 30th anniversary dinner here with accommodation too. Arrived in the afternoon and was welcomed to our beautiful room, number 9. Upon walking through the door at reception we were totally blown away by the wonderful decor of the place and was made to feel very welcome at once. Lovely free cakes and cheese...

Our children had given us vouchers for the restaurant, we used these for our anniversary. I thoroughly enjoyed the professionalism and the food. They made this anniversary one to be remembered. There was no rooms available but I recommend the Peacock Hotel which is 200 hundred yards away from this delightful thatched cottage pub/ restaraunt
