Lovely Bed and Breakfast, immaculately clean, luxury comfort bed, breakfast cooked to perfection using all local produce. Friendly helpful proprietors. Couldn't ask for anything more, thanks Elaine and Carlos for a wonderful stay we hope to be back soon
We have stayed in a number of B&B's in Hawes over the years. This has to be one of the best. Elaine was a wonderful host. Loxley House is situated in the town but away from the main street and was so peaceful. Wonderful views over the Dales. Very clean. Quaility bedding. Massive superking bed we had room 1- with an en-suite roll top bath with shower above. Very high quaility furnishings. Delicious breakfast. Everything you could want from a B&B.
Our second visit to this lovely B&B, New owners Elaine and Carlos welcomed us and it felt like coming home. Not many changes to Loxley House (Why would you change perfection? ). A very Hearty breakfast set us up for the day. The views from our Twin room over Stag Fell were unchanging, and as breathtaking as the first time . The peace and tranquility whilst in the garden, overlooking the fell belies how close to the heart of Hawes this beautiful B&B is, and once sat in the sunshine all you hear are the birds singing , or perhaps the Chinook who flies along the fell or the Jets doing a sortie over head ...it all adds to the fullness of the experience that is this place. So, would we return ? ... in a shot , and we plan to do so in the Spring.
We have just returned from the most relaxing 4 night stay for the first time at Loxley House, we have stayed many times in Hawes, the owners moved on from the last b&b we had stayed at for many years they actually recommended Loxley House so glad they did what a gem. The views are fantastic, particularly from the breakfast room, Carlos cooks a delicious breakfast, spot on . It was also great to have bottled water replaced in your room each day. We particularly liked the situation of Loxley House, within a few minutes you can walk into the centre of Hawes where you will find many restaurants and quaint shops. We will certainly be returning again, Thank you Elaine and Carlos for a wonderful stay, and we wish you continued success.
Having waited for over a year to return to Loxley House, thank you COVID, it was like we had never been away. From the warm welcome to the cheery farewell we felt completely at home. Elaine and Carlos have seamlessly slipped into the Loxley House way of easy going efficiency. We were luck with the weather so was able to make the most of sitting in the garden sipping a GnT and watching the sheep graze in the fields - so relaxing. Even the operational two lightening fly past was spectacular. This was our fourth visit to this home from home and our next one is booked. I recommend you visit this little gem and challenge you to fault it.
