Drive nearly 90 miles for a day in Hawes and after patiently waiting for a very long time outside because (I’ll be out in a bit) to the point everyone was looking at us, I stood up went to the door hoping I’d be seen and remind her but she sees me and still walks round getting people their bill and goes back behind the bar where no one was waiting. It should never ever take 15-20 minutes to take a drink order. Very quick to tell me I needed to wait outside. Everyone was looking and could see how ridiculous it was it wasn’t even that busy! We were two people! So we left and will never come to this place again. Awful service and just lazy.

We had lunch that we had to pre order in advance which was not a big deal. We had fajitas for 2 and at £26 we only got 2 fajitas each and it mainly consisted of peppers. The burger my friend had was contaminated with metal. We got that meal free and a round of drinks fee. They were not doing table service on drinks and we had to queue at the bar, this made social distancing very hard. Average food and above average prices.

Visited for a drink with friends and when entering the premises we were told all tables were booked inside. My husband sat at a table and we followed him. Manager asked where we were going and we said inside. He informed us that our table was booked for 4.30. At 5 o'clock we were still sitting! I don't think it was booked at all. The feeling I got was that he wanted ppl outside. All tables inside had reserved signs on. Absolutely ridiculous! Why turn away custom ? Need a new manager. #Just saying

Went to the crown on Saturday night with 2 friends. Ordered drinks at the bar with a young man who was very friendly. We were then approached by Richard who asked for our ID. We gave him our driving licences only to be told that If they were fake we would be barred for life! (We are 20 years old!) Which was ironic considering I recognised 2 locals sat at the other side of the bar who I know for a fact are 16 and 17 and we’re being served without any hassle. Once we finally got our drinks we moved outside onto the benches. While having a laugh with friends we were told by Richard in a derogatory manor that we need to be quiet and ‘go home, I’d rather you did.’ The crown used to be a firm favourite amongst my friendship group however we will not be returning.
