The pub is situated on the high street and is finely placed for high street shopping. The publicrooms are clean and inviting. Bedrooms are maintained to a high degree of cleanliness by the housekeeping staff and all staff are approachable and friendly. Guests should note that Northallerton holds a market on the High street on both Wednesday and Saturdays so...

When we enquired as to where our meals were staff were rude. People who came in after us got served and were half finished. Never...

Not the most salubrious of hostelries however it made up for it in the quality, excellent...

The Black Bull is a plain, ordinary, unassuming bar - and that's good! Of course there is a large tv on the wall, but because the bar is L shaped, you can easily ignore it. Nice lass behind the bar and a good pint. Nice pub.

We had lunch yesterday 9th June, excellent food and very good on price, the omelette was exceedingly good light and fluffy full of flavour and proper chips, Jacket potato cooked to perfection with mushroom and onion topping quite unusual but very good, must say what an excellent chef and we will certainly be calling in again when in the area
