Very popular for Honeymoons, minimoons and staycations. This unspoilt area, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is home to an abundance of natural wildlife and wild flowers and provides an ideal environment for a peaceful holiday in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. This is a family run Yorkshire Business dedicated in providing our customers with a relaxing break.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful site for February half term. We stayed in Yew lodge and it had everything needed for a comfortable stay. I would say this lodge is probably one of the older ones on site and the interior is looking a little dated now so if that would bother you there are newer lodges on site, we didn’t mind this at all though. The hot tub was excellent, well maintained throughout our stay and the perfect temperature. All the little additions on arrival were really thoughtful, the Yorkshire starter hamper, chocolates, Prosecco and toiletries, cleaning equipment, dishwasher tablets and even kitchen roll. Really brilliant. We loved watching the birds, squirrels and rabbits from our decking area and although we didn’t bring a dog there was a really large space to walk them. The site itself is in a good location, however we were not overly enamoured by Richmond on this occasion. Been before but pre covid and I wonder if many shops have struggled to survive as we found far too many charity shops there now. We found a lovely chip shop on plumber road catterick garrison and there’s also a large Tesco and shopping park with a few well known shops if that’s your thing. Travelling with a teenager has its challenges, however the old station cinema came up trumps and showed new releases, with a few lovely shops and fab cafe. Another great find is an excellent place just up the road called Adrenaline where my husband and son spent 2 hours quad biking and having a go at archery. I had an Indian head massage with the mobile therapist and it was 60 minutes of total bliss. All in all a lovely friendly family site, quiet at night and in beautiful surroundings. We will always give Flowery Dell 10 out of 10. We have stayed here for many years now with family and on our own with our dogs. It really is our chill out place to be. The lodges are clean, well equipped with everything you'll need,and the hot tubs are very well maintained. Can't praise the staff enough, they all go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect. The areas around the lodges are exemplary, well maintained and nature is abound, squirrels, rabbits, hedgehogs and so many types of birds. We've seen a fox or two and a badger aswell. We've stayed here for the last 3 Christmas's aswell as our usual summer holiday, and back again this year for Christmas. There's nothing like a cold snowy night in the hot tub, under the stars with a glass of wine. Our 2 dogs love running through the meadow grass and chasing the rabbits. There's also some fantastic walks to do around the area, all of which are in the numerous pamphlets in the lodges. There are 2 dog friendly pubs within walking distance and Richmond is only a 15 min walk away. I could go on forever talking about Flowery Dell but can't find the right words to express how much we love coming here and how much we love the family and staff for making every holiday the best ever.

We have visited Flowery Dell three times in the past year, twice in the Hazel and once in the Larch. All lodges are extremely clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The location is stunning and so peaceful. All you hear is the sound of nature. The hot tubs are spotlessly clean and well maintained and if you are lucky enough to experience a clear sky at night you can sit under the stars in the comfort of your hot tub. Richmond is less than a 5-minute drive away where you will find many shops, restaurants, and bars. You can also drive to the coast in under an hour to Saltburn-by-the sea and explore the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. Whitby is also a great day trip where you can experience a bustling town or boat trip around the coast and at night return to the tranquil Flowery Dell for rest and relaxation. I cannot recommend these lodges highly enough. All staff are very friendly, professional, and polite. They are a credit to the family that runs the business. Cannot wait for our next trip.

First time visiting Flowery Dell with my husband, son and partner, daughter and niece.We visited for 7 days last week and what a wonderful week it was! The lodge was spotless on arrival and every detail was covered in case you had forgotten anything, toiletries, washing up etc! The hot tub was checked twice a day which was very reassuring and was lovely after a day of sight seeing/ walking. The location was easy to get to was so peaceful and quiet within easy reach of Richmond! I would not hesitate to recommend and we are already planning our next visit!!

Just spent another superb relaxing break at Flowery Dell. This one is actually our 21st visit. We feel like it is our 2nd home . We have stayed in most of the different lodges and can say without fear of contradiction that they all have the same high standard of cleanliness and facilities . Nothing is needed to bring with you other than your food . The family who own the site are terrifically friendly and helpful . The location is ideally located for strolls into Richmond or into Hudswell & Downholme over the moor tops . We will never tire of visiting Flowery Dell and say to anyone considering visiting Do it you will not be disappointed.

This was our second time staying and we loved it just as much as the first time. Great base camp for Yorkshire Dale walking. The lodges have everything you need to whip up basic meals and the hot tub was clean and had lovely views. We had a dog with us and there was plenty of noises and smells to keep him entertained too. Would definitely come back for a third time!

Once again we have arrived home full of joy after 10 nights at our favourite North Yorkshire holiday retreat. Flowery dell lodges cannot be praised enough in terms of what they offer to ensure you have a true home from home. The lodges are equipped with everything you need, washer, dryer, microwave even down to a potato peeler, everything is cleaned to a very high standard. The hot tubs are checked twice daily and are fantastic on a nighttime when you can hear nothing but an owl hoot. Local walks and nearby attractions gives plenty of choice for things to do with two local pubs offering home cooked meals daily. Children and adults can both enjoy time here and you can bring your dog along as many of the lodges accommodate up to two dogs with a welcome pack for them too. This place is an absolute credit to the owners and staff who work hard all year round to ensure it receives the well earned 5 stars it deserves. We will be returning again soon.

5 star with a big gold ribbon tied round! Flowery dell lodges is in a league of its own. We have been visiting this fantastic setting for 9 years now and still we come away impressed even more. This visit we stayed in the Chestnut Lodge and it, like all the lodges is decorated with all your needs in mind , warm, cosy and surrounded by the wonders of nature, daily visits from the loveliest bunny rabbits and woodpeckers to name a few. The lodges are in pristine condition, the grounds, hot tubs etc maintained to perfection. We stayed in Hawthorn Lodge for three nights - we would have liked longer but when I booked in March, they were virtually fully booked, I can see why.
The lodge was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. It was like ‘home from home’ and made for a very relaxing break. The hot tub added an extra layer of luxury. The WiFi was excellent too which is always an important aspect for my husband!
The grounds are kept in super condition and were perfect to exercise our puppy with dog bins provided.
The location of Flowery Dell is a great base to explore the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. We could walk into Richmond via a footpath in 25 mins.
We will definitely be back! Thank you.

We recently had a wonderful stay in the Ash lodge. The weather was really wonderful considering we were staying in March. The views of the quiet wooded area and fields were gorgeous complete with wild rabbits hopping around. The hot tub was brilliant - a really lovely luxury to chill out in. The lodge itself was very clean and well thought out. The bedrooms were comfortable and there were thoughtful touches such as hairdryers in both. The kitchen was also well kitted out - there were plenty of cups, glasses, plates etc and utensils for cooking. There was also a lovely welcome pack ready for our arrival too - it contained lots of little local produce such as little biscuits, marshmallows, hot chocolate sachets, crisps, tea (Yorkshire of course!) and coffee. We had such a relaxing time and we travelled into nearby Richmond which was also worth a stroll round. Definitely recommend Flowery Dell Lodges for a wonderful, relaxing stay.
