Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Second visit, can't find anything negative about the place. Lovely attention to detail, and the biggest comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Very near to town square and some great pubs. Can't wait to come back

Where do I start our gushing praise for Nuns Cottage B&B. From entering the door you could feel the warmth, love & pride Helen has in her cottage! Everything was absolutely perfect, bed was amazingly cosy with fluffy pillows & crisp white bed linen. There was fresh flowers, tea & coffee tray was well stocked, bottled water, fresh fluffy white robes, even an iron & ironing board! The bathroom was spotlessly clean, spacious, fluffy towel’s & complimentary products. Breakfast was served in a stunning cosy chilled out snug, it was so relaxing. Food was delicious, very tasty, well cooked & Helen uses amazing local produce. We will definitely return to Nuns Cottage, it was our first visit to Richmond & we fell in love with it, the centre is a short 5 minute walk from the cottage. Thank you Helen your attention to detail is amazing, I’ll finish by saying it’s our best ever stay in a B&B! C & P

This was our absolute favorite place to stay as we walked the Coast as t to Coast Trail. We spent 2 nights here - one a rest day- and it was hard to leave. Helen has put a great deal of thought into making this a comfortable stay for her guests. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and the breakfasts delicious. Helen was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do This was truly one of the best BnBs I’ve stayed!

Helen was the perfect hostess, and Nun's Cottage delighted us. From the beginning it was clear that Helen had paid such attention to making guests feel welcome, safe and very comfortable. We loved the decoration of the rooms and the beautiful wooden furniture. The huge comfortable bed was a joy to snuggle. Inc. were toiletries and room coffee/tea, lovely peaceful room view, tailor-made and well-cooked breakfast, and everywhere spotlessly clean and well-kept. A delight. Diana

Helen, our host, was lovely and welcoming throughout our stay. It is obvious that she enjoys what she does and the service and attention to detail reflects this. Our room was sympathetically decorated in keeping with the building. It was spotless with plenty of storage and the superking bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large with a bath. Toiletries were supplied and of lovely quality. Spotless again. Breakfast was fantastic. You place your order the previous evening which worked for us. I can imagine this cuts out waste which we are all for. Saving the best for last. Home made scones with clotted cream on arrival are the best I have ever had! We will visit again. Not just for the scones though 😊 Thank you Helen for an amazing stay.
