Such a delight in every way! The house is beautiful and very clearly cared for, with tons of original features and so much character. The bedroom was a good size with an extremely comfy bed and high quality linens and towels. It was spotless. Such lovely friendly hosts who thought of everything, from a top quality tea tray to fresh milk delivered to your door in a flask. The breakfast was a pure delight. Although my other half only wanted toast, even that was special as it was home made bread and lovely selection of jams etc. My veggie breakfast to order was great and there was a huge selection to choose from on the order form. I can honestly say I've never seen a better choice and such lovely produce. I would not hesitate to recommend this and I doubt you could find better in all of Richmond. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

What a beautiful grade 2 listed building, it's actually 2 cottages made into 1. Free parking opposite and only a 2 min walk in to the town centre. It has lovely exposed stonework and 2 fabulous wooden staircases, plus gorgeous fireplaces. We stayed for the Easter weekend and we're lucky enough to have fab weather. We had room 3 which was very quaint, exceptional clean and had a window seat with a lovely view, a great powerful shower and very hot water. Lots of lovely touches in the room, chocolate mints, cookies, tissues, flask of cold water, great tea and coffe tray. Big fluffy towels, face cloths and bath mats...you could also control the radiators yourself which we liked. There was a gorgeous fireplace in our room and a skylight to see the stars at night. Loved hearing the church bells ringing on a morning. Very safe and peaceful at night. Sandra was a lovely lady, very friendly and helpful...her husband Colin, who we didn't meet but was the chef in a morning, did the best poached eggs I have ever had, in fact the breakfast is one of the best too, so extensive and beautifully presented. Lots to do in Richmond, river walks, museums, The Castle and some great cafes and restaurants. We loved exploring all the little cobbled streets and some great independent shops. Cannot recommend this b and b enough, absolutely fantastic and cannot wait to stay again. We have stayed in accomodation all over the UK and can put hand on heart and say this is one of the best for cleanliness, hospitality, history, breakfast and location. Should be 5 stars. Thank you Sandra and Colin for a wonderful weekend away.

Lovely stay in beautiful historic building very convenient for centre, yet peaceful too. Great hosts who have thought of everything, spotlessly clean and delicious breakfast with quality ingredients. Most comfortable bed and pillows on our whole Coast to Coast walk, hope to stay again to see more of Richmond.

We return here every year because it really is a fantastic guest house and is very competitively priced. The welcome is always the warmest - a hot drink and homemade scones in the very comfy sitting room while we catch up with our friendly hosts. The guest house is spotlessly clean throughout with crisp white linen on the super kingsize beds and white fluffy towels in the en-suites. The breakfast selection is extensive with 2 specials each day on top of the choices of cereals, freshly prepared fruit, juices, pastries and cooked full english. There is also fresh homemade bread and an option for creamy traditional porridge. A good central location in this traditional Yorkshire town. I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough and if you're visiting the area, this is the place to stay!

As very experienced UK travellers we can honestly say this guest house is in one of our favourites , the hosts Sandra and Colin are passionate and genuinely care about giving you the best stay they can, the food is always top quality and they aim to please, very very clean and very high standards , we felt very safe and they were extremely organised regards covid protocol . I cannot praise this guest house enough, and have no hesitation in recommending , they work to very high standards .and nothing is too much bother to them. We always feel very welcome and well looked after , the feedback speaks for itself , for the standard the price we feel was good value , you will pay a lot more and get a lot less in a lot of other establishments ,.

The moment you arrive at this guest house your imagination is captivated at the very historical Story it tells. The quaint house Still holds its historical features. This adds to the charm of staying in these superb en suite rooms. The beds are extremely Very large and comfortable. This property is very clean and bright. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. You are shown to your room and everything is explained to you to make your stay comfortable. A rather nice gesture is the offer of a pot of tea and fresh scone with jam and cream is rather delightful after a long day travelling. The rooms are very quiet with no noise of outside roads and people at night. The breakfast is outstanding with plenty to please your palate. All in all I would definitely return and I would recommend this beautiful guest house to anyone. Richmond oozes historical oldie worldly charm and is situated in the heart of the North Yorkshire dales. With Stunning scenery on offer and matched with Willance guest house this Is a place to definitely visit. 5 star for me.

Had an absolutely top stay at Willance House at start and finish of our Scottish/Hebridean road trip. The property itself is in a lovely old building at the start of a cobbled street, near to the town, rooms are beautifully done out and spotless. The hosts are very Covid compliant. Hosts go above and beyond looking after you, engaging with you for chats (which is why we like to stay in B & B's) and you get a lovely "treat" with afternoon tea on arrival. very good value for money and the breakfasts for me were the best of any on our trip.

What an amazing place to stay in Richmond. A very warm welcome and detailed explanation of options whilst staying upon arrival, the rooms are superb with amazing beds and real bed sheets so you can layer which is great for me as get too hot under thick duvets. The breakfast choose is the best on the coast to coast walk so far. I was thoroughly spoiled with excellent porridge and d kedgeree. Nothing was too much to ask and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended. Thanks Colin and Sandra

A lovely, cosy place to stay close to the centre of Richmond. The hosts Colin and Sandra were very accommodating from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are immaculate, a very well cared for and presented place to stay. We enjoyed the cooked breakfast, but there was plenty of choice if you fancied something lighter. Great place to stay, we would definitely recommend.
