A friend and I recently stayed in a twin share room at Aldersyde B&B and we had a great stay there. The owners were very welcoming and happily accommodated our dietary requirements. We loved the extra touches like a flask of soy milk in our room along with the kettle and tea bags etc. for our morning brew, and we were also provided with some yummy vegan snacks. The home cooked breakfasts were delicious and there was plenty to choose from when placing our order the night before. The room and separate bathroom were clean, well decorated, and stocked with everything we needed with high quality towels and bedding. The location of the property was very convenient both for the bus stop we arrived into village at as well as access down to the village itself. The owners had some good recommendations for local eateries and all in all we had a memorable stay there. We’d highly recommend considering staying at Aldersyde.

A fantastic place! We were on a cycling trip up the East coast, arrived bedraggled and in a shoddy state on a very wet and windy day. We were immediately made very welcome with the offer of somewhere to store our bikes (we overlooked requesting this before setting out, but it was dealt with immediately) and then enjoyed the comfort and luxury of the room and en-suite, both of which had some lovely 'touches' with complimentary tea, coffee, hot choc, biscuits, etc in the nice box on the dresser and special 'Faith In Nature' shampoo, conditioner, etc in the bathroom. Breakfast next day was delicious. We hope to return when we do the 'Coast to Coast' walk. Thank you for such a lovely, comfortable stay (sorry it has taken me until today to write this review).

Excellent!
Five Stars *****

We stayed at Aldersyde for three nights and we were very impressed. The room was a beautiful top floor room with en-suite and had a fantastic view out to the sea. As said in other reviews the room was well appointed and absolutely spotless we even had our own personal library sitting area on the landing.
Neill & Angela are fantastic!
They are extremely friendly and welcoming. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts were delicious and are made from high quality, fresh ingredients and are beautifully cooked.

We would very highly recommend Aldersyde to anyone.

Thank you Neil & Angela for an excellent 3 night stay.

Kind regards
Carla & Ian.

This is a very charming bed & breakfast (more a boutique hotel) Its very well presented and decorated and has a nice calming feel. Our large room had a very big comfortable bed and a relaxing chair, with plenty of draw and hanging space, there are USB ports at either side of the bed for convenient charging, the room also had very nice decor with a large TV (that we did not watch) and relaxing lighting. There is a tray with a fine selection of beverages and biscuits and fresh milk daily. Our bathroom had a very large bath tub and very spacious shower, with fluffy towels and toiletries. The whole place is spotlessly clean and very quiet.
The breakfasts are beautifully presented (with a vegetarian option) with as much tea, coffee and toast as you want. Your hosts Angela and Neil are very warm and friendly and have a very good knowledge of the area. I thoroughly recommend this little gem, so much so that we have already booked again for later in the year, and we are already looking forward to it......

We recently had a 2 night stay at short notice. Angela and Neil could not have been any more welcoming. The room was brilliant, luxurious and very clean. Also very cosy. Breakfast was cooked fresh, and a lovely selection. Angela and Neil made various recommendations of where to eat locally, and local walks - very knowledgable about the area. This was the most perfect place to stay in Robin Hood Bay.

A group of us doing the end of the Coast to Coast walk stayed here and loved it. The rooms are freshly renovated and the bathroom is divine with a huge freestanding bath - perfect for easing aches and pains after a days walk. The breakfasts were delicious and house is full of character. Breakfast was served on antique family crockery, just beautiful. The hosts were very helpful and caring. Would recommend it to anyone.

Such a beautiful 2 night stay at this wonderful guest house, it has luxe hotel style rooms with gorgeous decor that makes it feel homely. The finishing touches really do make it a luxury stay. I couldn't stay anywhere else and would return to the area just to stay there to be frank!

Some of our highlights are:

* The breakfast was incredible with the 'full english' being of the best quality i think i have enjoyed in a hotel even the larger 4* hotels in Manchester. The meat is locally sourced, the eggs fresh and the smoked salmon on the 2nd morning was just incredible.

* The rooms at the top of the house was warm, beautifully decorated with tasteful home touches, such as the reading nook and soft chairs.

* Neill and Angela are so warm and impeccable hosts, their local knowledge was generous and they recommended a beautiful restaurant for a special meal

I cant thank them enough for a beautiful stay, warm and friendly surroundings and over all lovely memories!!

We were given a lovely warm greeting by the owners Ange & Neill. We’d received communication from them beforehand so already felt welcome. Our room was on the top floor and had a gorgeous view over the bay and hills. The decoration is modern and stylish and I cannot fault the cleanliness!! The room and bathroom were spotless which is something I always check. Extra touches in the room were appreciated, daily replenishment of biscuits and fresh milk if we wanted it. Breakfast was gorgeous - plentiful and well cooked with fresh local ingredients. The guest house is a very short walk from the village which is stunning. We stayed 3 nights & had some really lovely chats with Ange & Neill. Their friendliness and warmth are definitely what makes the stay the 5 star experience! We would definitely stay here again, arrived as guests, left as friends (However corny that sounds!) Thank you

This is my 5th visit to Aldersyde and it feels like home. It's beautiful. The room as ever was spotless with everything in we needed. The bed is very comfortable! The breakfast is delicious and all produce local and freshly cooked. The location is perfect, close to the car park and to walk down the bay. Angela and Neil are excellent host's and always provide an excellent service. The recommendations where to eat never disappoint. It really is a beautiful B&B and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the bay now. I look forward to returning and soon. Thank you both, Kath x
