We visited Skerry Hall a few years ago. It was superb then and is superb now. It was wonderful to see that hosts Alan and Jan have weathered the disruption of the COVID years and are still offering levels of service usually only found in the very best hotels. The location of the farm is idyllic; with sea views of Robin Hood’s Bay and a plethora of walks from the door, it would be hard to beat. There are 3 rooms available and our room, number 3 is a spacious room on the first floor with far reaching views and plenty of space to relax after a day exploring the coast, with a large, well equipped bathroom. Little touches such as good quality tea and coffee in the room, plus a flask of fresh milk really make a difference, accompanied by home made flapjacks. On arrival, we were offered tea or coffee with blueberry muffins and could browse a wide selection of maps and guide books of the area, so helpful in planning our stay. Breakfast is perfect - a good choice of local produce including eggs from their own hens and home made preserves. Attention to detail ensures that any dietary needs are met and Alan and Jan certainly go the extra mile to ensure their guests enjoy every aspect of their stay.…
We stayed at Skerry Hall for four nights in September. Where do I start?! The location is superb with extensive views over Robin Hoods Bay, the room was spotless, the Breakfasts were cooked to perfection, but most of all Jan and Allan were the most friendly and helpful hosts you could ever wish for. When we first arrived we were treated to tea and delicious homemade cake. We will certainly be returning next year. Thank you Jan and Allan for giving us such a memorable holiday
We visited skerry hall farm for long needed break as myself and husband are very busy.. We arrived to a very warm welcome by Jan and Alan also tea and cake, our stay was lovely breakfast was outstanding. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless and views of the bay from our window were amazing. Would highly recommend Thank you Paul and Angela
There are many fantastic B&Bs in beautifully restored period farm houses with stunning seaviews but few are run by such kind and thoughtful people as Alan and Jan. We broke down at 10pm trying to find the property and Alan not only rescued us but also made a flask of tea for my husband as he stayed with the car. The RAC eventually showed up at 545am!! We were greatful for the lie in the next day and the bacon sandwiches at lunchtime. We were treated like family throughout... just exceptional.
This was our first visit to Skerry Hall Farm and we stayed for four nights. Alan and Jan were excellent hosts , we were made very welcome and they were both always pleasant, friendly and helpful towards us. Our room was large and had a wonderful view, the bed was very comfortable and all was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. The location of the farm is superb and there are lovely walks straight from the door. It is so peaceful and beautiful there, great for chilling out and getting away from everything. We will recommend and definitely make a return visit ourselves.
