We stayed at Skerry Hall for four nights in September. Where do I start?! The location is superb with extensive views over Robin Hoods Bay, the room was spotless, the Breakfasts were cooked to perfection, but most of all Jan and Allan were the most friendly and helpful hosts you could ever wish for. When we first arrived we were treated to tea and delicious homemade cake. We will certainly be returning next year.
Thank you Jan and Allan for giving us such a memorable holiday

We visited Skerry Hall a few years ago. It was superb then and is superb now.
It was wonderful to see that hosts Alan and Jan have weathered the disruption of the COVID years and are still offering levels of service usually only found in the very best hotels.
The location of the farm is idyllic; with sea views of Robin Hood’s Bay and a plethora of walks from the door, it would be hard to beat.
There are 3 rooms available and our room, number 3 is a spacious room on the first floor with far reaching views and plenty of space to relax after a day exploring the coast, with a large, well equipped bathroom. Little touches such as good quality tea and coffee in the room, plus a flask of fresh milk really make a difference, accompanied by home made flapjacks.
On arrival, we were offered tea or coffee with blueberry muffins and could browse a wide selection of maps and guide books of the area, so helpful in planning our stay.
Breakfast is perfect - a good choice of local produce including eggs from their own hens and home made preserves. Attention to detail ensures that any dietary needs are met and Alan and Jan certainly go the extra mile to ensure their guests enjoy every aspect of their stay.

Thank you for your wonderful review. It was a delight to welcome you back to Skerry Hall and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us so much. We had no background in the B&B business when we started seven years ago, but we knew what we like when we are on holiday and thought that there would be others who liked the same. So glad that we seem to have got that right! We hope that you are able to visit us again before too long.

It’s been 12 months to the day since our last stay at this Yorkshire gem, overlooking Robin Hoods Bay ,and only 5 miles from Whitby.
This time around we stayed in room 3 (amazing views and a very spacious room)
We were met on our arrival by our hosts Jan and Allan,a lovely genuine caring couple ,who welcomed us like we were family.(They remembered it was my partners birthday, and even left a card for her on our bed)
If you want a peaceful 5* Stay (spotlessly clean, comfortable beds)with amazing views over Robin Hoods Bay,with great hosts,a fantastic breakfast and an extremely knowledgeable host(in the local history)in Allan ,then you must spend a break here.I promise you that you won’t forget your stay here, and you will thank me for suggesting you do it.
Thank you Jan and Allan for another great stay, hope to see you soon

Garry and Angie

P.S Hope you had a fantastic time with your new family member.

This was our first visit to Skerry Hall Farm and we stayed for four nights. Alan and Jan were excellent hosts , we were made very welcome and they were both always pleasant, friendly and helpful towards us. Our room was large and had a wonderful view, the bed was very comfortable and all was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and always served with a smile. The location of the farm is superb and there are lovely walks straight from the door. It is so peaceful and beautiful there, great for chilling out and getting away from everything. We will recommend and definitely make a return visit ourselves.

There are many fantastic B&Bs in beautifully restored period farm houses with stunning seaviews but few are run by such kind and thoughtful people as Alan and Jan. We broke down at 10pm trying to find the property and Alan not only rescued us but also made a flask of tea for my husband as he stayed with the car. The RAC eventually showed up at 545am!! We were greatful for the lie in the next day and the bacon sandwiches at lunchtime. We were treated like family throughout... just exceptional.

I surprised my girlfriend with a 2 night stay at Skerry Hall Farm in mid September. Alan & Jan made us feel extremely welcome in their wonderfully converted farmhouse. The house itself is beautiful, tucked away just outside Robin Hoods Bay. A great location and views out across the countryside setting. Cake & coffee on arrival & flapjacks on tap. Alan is full of local knowledge & he and Jan should be very proud of what they have created. A great place to stay & a locally sourced breakfast to die for. Highly recommended

Myself and my partner Glenn stayed at Skerry Hall for a mini weekend break and loved every minute of it! Al and Jan were very friendly, helpful and made us feel most welcome! The room was stunningly decorated to the highest standard. The views over Robin Hood Bay were just breathtaking!!

We had a perfect nights sleep and woke each morning to a lovely homemade breakfast using locally sourced produce. The sausages were to die for!

Would definitely recommend a stay if you are looking to get away from it all!

Skerry Hall is a newer b&b that hosts Alan and Jan have brought to life by transforming a centuries old stable into a modern and comfortable space. The bedrooms and common area are bright and decorated tastefully with a variety of interesting items (make sure you check out the unique grandfather clock!). The views from the garden and the front windows overlooking Robin Hood's Bay are spectacular and if you want to know anything about the history of the area, just ask Alan...he is a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts (and Jan makes wicked flapjacks!) The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well laid out and sparkling clean, and the locally sourced breakfast was excellent and even included black pudding (although I tried it for the first time it's not my cup of tea!) The North York Moors are truly beautiful and we look forward to returning to Skerry Hall again for another visit. Thanks Alan & Jan for a great stay!

Sorry, but with dogs and a cat of our own, and livestock around, we do not accept dogs.
Answer from Jan A

Hi Kate, Thank you for your enquiry. All three of our rooms are available on those dates next July. Although we have not yet set prices for 2016 we anticipate that they will be similar to this year's prices: £80 per night for each of the two double rooms and £110 per night for the king-size room, all of which include a full breakfast for two people. I don't know how you would envisage the sleeping arrangements as we only have those three rooms available. Also please note that we do not cater for children under 12 years of age. I hope this is of assistance. If you require any further information please don't hesitate to contact us on 01947 881156 or by email. Regards, Jan Adams
