Both me and my girlfriend really enjoyed staying as part of a deal through working with The Coaching Inn Group, (The Royal Oak Hotel, Welshpool). All of the staff were amazing and made you feel welcome, it is a great place to stay and would stay here again. The service throughout the stay was brilliant, nothing to pick a fault...

This is a wonderful hidden gem of a hotel in a beautiful small market town. Excellent food, drinks, staff, accommodation and nothing is to much trouble. We will be back. There is a large selection of wines and beers, a wonderful open fire, all set out in this beautiful historic building, much of the building is original however where it...

The Talbot is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The staff, especially Tom the manager, went above and beyond to ensure that the needs, enjoyment and comfort of the guests, were met. The Talbot is tranquil, luxurious, and packed with history. It is First Class- the only problem is - you won't want to leave.

We stayed last night in the Talbot hotel and we were blown away by the value for money. The friendly receptionist upgraded us to the Fotheringhay Suite. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good. It is obvious that the management team are making an effort. We also had drinks at the bar and we thought it was...

We stayed with our dog midweek, and got a good deal. The place is very rambly but really just arranged round a courtyard. Large car park but quite full. Bar is ok, good real ale, tables not quite as clean as they could be and over-lit. Room was nice and clean. Dog biscuits and bowl already in. Dinner was very...

This was a business trip so no real time to take in the local area, which is very historic. Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and good food. Car parking is difficult to find if you've not been before.

This was the break we needed and the Talbot Hotel did not disappoint at all. It has such a wonderful charm, character and settings in the quaint market town of Oundle. The staff were wonderful and so helpful, we will definitely go back sooner than later.
