Great B and B in the heart of Alnwick. Audrey was most welcoming and gave us lots of information about the town, including suggestions for where to eat. The room was lovely - spacious and clean. Breakfasts were fantastic - especially the kippers! A great place to stay - highly recommended.
This is a lovely house right in the middle of Alnwick but also very quiet and peaceful. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and it was pleasant sitting and looking out at the garden. A sparrowhawk flew past. Audrey was extremely helpful. Would recommend to anyone.
Greycroft is a an old stone built house. It has no double glazing and the one small radiator in the bedroom just didn't cope with the chilly weather. The breakfast was served in the conservatory and as the radiators were not on in this area, we had to eat our breakfast with our coats on. The cooked breakfast was well cooked and presented. Unfortunately the girl who served us hardly spoke to us and was very cold. I gather there was some anymosity there with the owner. However, the owner, Audrey was a typical chatty B&B owner which saved me giving this a poor rating. This was the most expensive B&B of our holiday, and as we love Alnwick, we were looking forward to it, but we were disappointed. We would choose somewhere else next time.
Fantastic establishment with lovely room, excellent facilities and great service. Couldn't fault it and will be returning next year. Friendly and attentive host and nothing too much trouble. Delicious breakfast with plenty of variety. A real find.
We stayed at Greycroft for two nights on August 31st and 1st September for the occasion of our daughter’s Wedding. There were nine of us. Audrey, Tom and Sarah couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming! They made our stay feel so special! Nothing was too much trouble - the breakfasts were delicious and the accommodation superb! We felt so at home! We would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely place! Thank you so much!
