Stayed here for 3 nights in August. Perfect location opposite Alnwick Castle with free on street parking as a permit was included in the price of our stay. Tracey could not have been more accommodating, especially given she was negotiating the rules around COVID. The room was spotless and spacious, there were home made cookies (delicious) on arrival and plenty of bottled water and tea making facilities in our room which were replenished as soon as we asked - Tracey was unable to enter our room during our stay (COVID regulations). Breakfast had to be ordered the night before and this was made easy via a tick sheet which we left on the landing for Tracey to collect...we were also allocated a time so that we did not meet other guests. Cereal, fruit juice, tea, toast and a full English (which was prepared to perfection) set us up for the day. Tracey was happy to answer questions on local places to visit and we enjoyed our morning chats on travel in general! Yes, it's an old building, yes, it has sloping floors, yes, it has narrow stairs and a quirky entrance but this house is hundreds of years old and this only adds to its charm - it is in keeping with the castle and surrounding buildings...if you want clinical and modern with a lift, book a Holiday Inn! A perfect host and highly recommended - many thanks for a lovely stay.

Castle View is a lovely B & B. The Duchess Elizabeth room is really comfortable with everything you need and Tracey’s homemade biscuits are a lovely touch. Tracey and Steve are a fantastic couple. Tracey cooks a first class breakfast and is very flexible with personal choices. Breakfast is booked by completing a form the evening before and are staggered in accordance with social distancing. Hand sanitiser is availability for visitors and you will be given a permit for parking. The location is excellent for everything in the town.

Press the doorbell and await your host, we parked on the corner and was given a permit which was a nice touch.

We stayed in the top floor room with the 4 poster, lots of stairs so be warned if you struggle with mobility as some are wonky and thin as the building is very old, but we like this quirk as well as the bedroom floor being the same.

Bed comfy, en suite fine, shower not too powerful and hearing controls may need tweeking.
Good tea tray with nice further selection on the landing.
TV a tad too small.for the room as only one chair we had to sit in bed to watch it.

View of the castle was nice.

Breakfast was good , salmon and scrambled eggs were nice, but the pastries/toast should be served fresh rather than left on the table before you get to your table, just a little thing.

Owners were lovely and we'd stay here again but look at the other room with the blue sofa next time.

Thank you for your very detailed review. Being a Georgian townhouse it is quite normal to have 2 flights of stairs which we do mention on our website. I appreciate that the tv is quite small but feel that a larger one would not fit in with the antique furniture in the room. There are two chairs and an antique stool in the room too ( not one chair? ) I am glad you enjoyed your breakfast. Toast was made fresh and put on your table with your drinks when you arrived, not before? I could have warmed your pastries on request. Nothing is too much trouble for our guests at Castleview - who only need to ask 😊 Thank you again . Tracey

This is a very good quality b&b and one of the best I have stayed in Northumberland. The was 8 of us with 4 rooms we had the suite as it was my wife's 70th birthday. The accommodation was well appointed and attention to detail with good quality furnishings and each room had a kitchenette. Our terms were room only with breakfast at £10/person optional. We had the breakfasts which were again good quality and excellent value. The b&b was in a central location in morpeth but was quiet. We were advised about parking prior to us leaving home but Carmen the host gave us good advice and was parking not a problem. This is a well run establishment at a reasonable price and the host Carmen was charming ,helpful and good fun to talk to. Good experience!

We would give more than 5 stars if we could! Tracey made us feel extremely welcome and looked after us throughout and she made our stay one to remember! She even went the extra mile at breakfast for my partner's birthday!

The location of the B&B is perfect, literally across the road to the castle and is within the town itself.
The room was extremely cosy (especially the lovely 4 poster bed) and was immaculately clean. Tracey even added extra touches such as fresh flowers and homemade biscuits just to make it even more special. You also have a great view of the castle and its clock tower from the bedroom window!

The breakfast was absolutely lovely and Tracey clearly went to a lot of effort to ensure we were well looked after and catered for!

We had a fantastic time and couldn't fault Castle view - we will definitely be returning soon! I can't put into words how thankful we are to Tracey for being such a wonderful host!

We stayed in a superior room on the second floor for 5 nights. The B&B It is in a great location almost within touching distance of Alnwick castle, of which we had a nice view from our bedroom. Parking was free and easy just round the corner from Castleview. It’s also only a short walk from the restaurants in the centre of Alnwick. Host Tracey was very friendly and welcoming. Our lovely room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Fantastic breakfast.

We spent two nights at this delightful B&B right opposite the Castle entrance and a stones throw from all the lovely delights Alnwick has to offer.
The room was characterful and very comfortable. It is beautifully decorated with lots of lovely art work and curios.
Tracey is the perfect host who provides such a friendly and warm atmosphere whilst producing one of the best B&B breakfasts we've had.
Unlikely to be bettered.

Tracey made us very welcome and very quickly put our minds at ease over her arrangements for a safe stay. Everywhere was immaculately clean and she had gone to great lengths to maintain social distancing. Our room was spacious and comfortable and as the name implies, had a perfect view of the castle. She was able to advise us of good places to eat out and was keen to offer tips to make our visit to the area memorable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Castleview again on a return trip to Alnwick.
