Meadowhead Waren Caravan Park is celebrated for its picturesque location and family-friendly vibe, making it an excellent base for sightseeing. The park's rooms charm with their design, but some guests have raised concerns over cleanliness. Service levels are generally high, with staff commended for their friendliness, although there have been occasional complaints about rudeness. The amenities, including pools and play areas, are well-received, but some suggest they could be better. Kirsty and Phil always say location, location, location and this camp is just outside Bamburgh (the perfect location) which is about 30 minutes walk or 20 minutes to the beach at Budle bay. Secondly I have to commend the staff everyone I met was truly superb, we are all having a difficult year and with the rules\law changing in the north east recently I thought the staff and the park’s interpretation and implementation was excellent. I have to point out I’d booked a tent pitch but due to the monsoon a couple of days before the tent field was closed, I categorise things as wants and needs. The staff had selected me a very private sheltered and shaded corner with a fairly dry pitch, so they had considered my needs before I even arrived. Cleanliness in all areas was spotless with hand sanitizer at convenient locations. I never used all the facilities on offer but for the price, to me it represented outstanding value, I enjoyed it so much am hoping to return in a few weeks.

This is a really good caravan site, the caravan pitches are well thought out and placed around a circular kiddies park that is perfect and safe for children.
The park is in a good location and is great for visiting places of interest.
However, the park has quite a few issues that need sorting out .
The toilets and shower block is dirty, it is cleaned once a day around mid morning, throughout the day it becomes really dirty, it really needs cleaning twice a day. The area to empty caravan waste has empty sanitiser units and no hand tissues, they were never refilled throughout the week and probably never cleaned?
The Wifi is £10.00 for three days and doesn't work, don't waste your money.
We visited the Witch and Worm restaurant on the site for Sunday lunch and left really disappointed. On arrival we noticed the tables were dirty and sticky from the night before and desperately needed cleaning.
We was going to order food from the menu when the bar chap informed us it was only Sunday lunch, that was fine but he knew very little about the menu and had to keep going to the kitchen to ask. When the food arrived he went to fetch our cutlery but instead returned to the bar to serve people drinks! I asked for cutlery twice and finally fetched our own, by now the food was luke warm. I don't really think it was entirely the bar persons fault, he was very apologetic but he appeared inexperienced and probably understaffed. The meals aren't cheap and for the price you expect better service and a clean table. I would give it a miss and eat elsewhere.

This is a large site, kept very tidy and touring area staff were very friendly at all times. Pitches were level and waste water actually drained away. Facilities were initially disappointing as we felt they were old, basic and dismal to use. However, we found an unmarked door between the washing up basins at the front and hey presto, wet rooms in abundance even with seating in. Much better but signage could be better. We didn't use any other facilities on site but location is good and we would go back again.

Horrendous customer service from Sharon her attitude towards customers is diabolical.
Booked on Wednesday to attend the campsite on the 26th October for two nights. However she has rang today to cancel our booking due to living in the same street as someone else & it being classed as a group booking... Very odd since booking separate, paying separately, two different booking reference numbers & two separate caravans but hey ho...

During previous government guidelines I was in a bubble with our neighbours (who have booked for the same dates) due to my partner working away and me having two under two and needing a little support however now my partner has returned we are following new government guidelines due to me no longer being classed as a single person.

I explained that we would not be socialising with our neighbours we simply just wanted to get away.

She then explained that we would be greater than a group of 6 all together (inc our neighbours)

I then explained to her that all together including our neighbours there are 4 adults, 3 infants and 1 however it wouldn’t make a difference as we are TWO separate booking and not socialising with one another.

We have two infants and would not put them at any risk to this virus or getting a fine. We simply just wanted to be near to my children’s godmother and her family due to us still being new caravaners.
And after all there’s nothing stopping us from having simple chit chat in passing ie when collecting water or using other facilities.

Absolutely infuriated the way we have been treated I understand it’s risky at the moment however there is no need to tarnish every family with the same brush.

It’s pretty obvious they can’t deal with the stress or pressure that is reflected in the horrendous service, face to face and over the telephone.

You would think they would feel pretty lucky that people still want spend money and attend their campsite during a pandemic, some businesses haven’t been so lucky.

I really hope someone takes it upon themselves to contact me to resolve this.. preferably someone with customer service skills.

Stayed 2 nights 7th and 8th of august plot 6 on the adult only section. Check in was simple and Sharon greeted with a smile and was very informative and gave clear guidance. Within the first hour Brian came and introduced himself and was very helpful and again very informative and during our stay regularly walked round and made sure everyone was ok
I can’t comment on the the caravan and tent areas as we had no need to go into that area as we had our own facilities
The bar , restaurant and shop were very nice but limited but that’s was to be expected in the current situation
Site grounds very clean and tidy
The adult only section was very quiet and the site had a quiet time after 11 which the staff enforced
I would return to the adult only section but this is mainly due to the kindness of Brian and Sharon who went above and beyond their role

The site is enormous with sections for holiday homes, a section for tents and a section for touring caravans and motorhomes, divided into family pitches and an adult-only area.
The main problem is that all the sections are open and accessible to everyone in the site area, with the result that groups of children/teenagers wander everywhere, frequently walking across occupied pitches and disturbing the occupiers.
The site is very noisy, due to the presence of a large field with playpark in the family pitch zone and another playpark near the holiday homes, in reality right behind the adult-only section.
The staff do not seem interested in the logic of assigning pitches. For our motorhome we were allotted pitch 8 in the adult area which is a sloping corner pitch. When we explained in reception that if it rained we would have problems leaving the pitch, they just laughed and said they would pull us out. They refused to let us change pitch, even though several level pitches in the adult area remained free during our stay.
The icing on the cake: if you want to put up an awning, you must pay extra (on top of the £30+ per night fee).
We shall certainly not be returning to this site. We loved the surroundings, so much to do and see, but next time we will find another campsite....there are several in the area.

We've just finished spending 4 fantastic nights at Waren campsite. Nice size pitches with an open grassy area for children to play safely in front of the tents (as well as two play areas). The walkway that circled the main field was perfect for evening dog walks and had a number of dog bins as well. The splash pools were good and although they're currently doing hour slots, and limiting numbers, we didn't have to queue.
The pizzas were very tasty and we didn't have to wait long after ordering before they were ready, managed to enjoy a drink. The chips were the only disappointing bit of our stay (which is nothing in the grand scheme of things)!! Toilet facilities were good and the family showers and even a bath with baby bath made a huge difference to our stay.
Good location and views towards the beach. Overall a lovely campsite and wouldn't hesitate to visit again, definitely a hit with our 4 yo and 1 yo.

Arrived at site 6.15pm 16th September for my anniversary , van 27 was not ready for use , despite the reception handing out keys ??
Reception called for a supervisor to meet me at the van, There was doubts over wether the van had been hoovered as evidence showed not , supervisor said yes ? I asked for a hoover which never arrived all weekend. No linen and a dirty sheet still on one bed , which I stripped off !! Supervisor went for bedding and towels.
Filthy bin and windows , chewing gum and shrivelled up satsuma in kitchen cupboards. Contact lense on beside cabinet ?? Not mine !!! Dirty cushions on sofas . Kids toys behind chair and curtains. If this had of been hoovered they clearly done a crap job!!

Site blamed Hoseasons I blame the site as it’s their cleaners on site ! Lady in van nearby actually told my daughter that the van had not been cleaned , dirty bed linen was left outside van on arrival ? Keys had been left in the door? Given the fact that guest strip the beds I doubt that the cleaner even did that and previous guests had put the bag outside as instructed?

Bathrooms looked ok , shower tray filled with water whilst showering
Myself my daughter then went to the on site shop bought cleaning supplies and started cleaning😡 very embarrassing when she invited her friend as a guest for the weekend !😱

£415 for a 2 night break is a joke ! This was meant to be a relaxing break for my daughter and her friend who suffers mental health issues , as well as an anniversary treat and my fathers 75 birthday celebration as my parents popped in for lunch the following day!

Cheers for ruining our stay Warenmill and yes I have photos and will be complaining to Hoseasons!!

As for Covid cleaning don’t get me started , complete joke 🤢😱😡

Top tip …… choose another operator and site , try Air BnB or Percy wood brother got van £200 cheaper same weekend , new van too !!

We arrived on Tuesday 27th October for a 5 night stay, it was really dark when we arrived and pitches not lit up at all. Our pitch where we'd pre booked for an awning was so muddy as someone had parked their car there and left muddy divets in the grass. As it was late we managed and decided it wasn't the caravan sites fault. So just got on with it. The amenities are clean enough, toilets and showers could do with modernising but generally OK. We were told we did not need to book at table at the Witch and Worm which is the eatery on site. So we went to go for a meal on Saturday tea time to be told it was a private function and they weren't doing regular meals. Baring in mind we weren't told this on check in. Receptionists seemed a little miserable on main reception, felt as thought we were bothering them. Touring reception staff seemed more friendly. On a positive note its location is fab and play parks for the kids were great. Obviously games room and pool shut due to covid which was fine. All in all the site is no where near worth the £36 a night they charge during half term, especially as there is nothing open, they could at least lower their prices to reflect this. We may give it another chance next summer all being well. But not sure as of yet. Maybe not very organised at the moment due to lack of staff.

The caravan site is set in a beautiful location with stunning views of the bay. Good facilities at the site including heated outdoor pool and children's play area. Restaurant is a bit overpriced for the quality of the food, but the children enjoyed the pizzas. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the static caravan was clean and well equipped.
