We were really impressed with this gorgeous little boutique hotel. We spent 3 nights here and the rooms, the service, the food - in fact everything - was great. Were were in the main house, so I cannot vouch for the annex, but from our experience, I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

The Mizen Head never fails to please. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday 5th November to celebrate moving and despite there being a large party of 16 in, our service was A1! We shared the very generous and interesting antipasto, one of the best we've had, followed by lemon sole with asparagus and bearnaise sauce, (which was an accompaniment... More

Just returned from a lovely 3 night break at the Mizen. Whilst our room (room 5) was classed as a superior the en suite facilities were the smallest I have ever come across. It is a good job that neither myself or my husband are very large, otherwise we may have struggled to use it. The bedroom itself was a... More

Stayed after having had a superb meal on a previous visit . Was not disappointed -the room was excellent -the dinners once again excelled as did the breakfast. Great location and ideal base for enjoying fantastic walks.

This was a fabulous place to stay. Fairly large room with a great view of the countryside. Huge king size bed. This was truly one of the best places we stayed on our travels. A very satisfying full breakfast. Close to Bamburgh Castle which was also worth a visit.

Clearly a very popular restaurant - booking advised. Nice location, pleasant welcome and attentive service at all times and - most importantly - excellent food well presented. Set in a beautiful part of the country - we shall certainly return when next in the area.

We have just returned from a long weekend at the Mizen Head to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All I can say is this place is stunning! We know Bamburgh well but we have never visited the Mizen Head before. The whole establishment (it isn't really a hotel but a "restaurant with rooms") is finished to a very high standard and... We stayed here a year ago with two other couples, and couldn't wait to return. This time just me and my husband for our wedding anniversary, and it was just as good. We had Room 4 and it was really lovely, large and roomy with a comfortable bed and huge bathroom and everything you could possibly need. The only slight... More
