Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for a week 30/8/21 - 4/9/21, we were due to stay until the 5/9/21 but we woke up to rain, we had had enough of the rain and it was cold during the nights and the forecast for the following day was rain so we decided to go home a day early.

The site is well positioned and very clean. We were escorted to our pitch in the middle of the field, not ideal but we made the best of it. We would have preferred a pitch on the outer edge giving us a bit of shelter from the strong winds. The site was very busy, the staff told us they had been fully booked since April. There were a lot of children on the site which we expected as we were there during the last week of the school holidays, but some parents don’t seem to have much control of their children regarding noise and playing with balls in front of other peoples tents. There is a children’s play area but we didn’t see any children using it.

There is only 1 toilet/shower block for the site, other reviews have mentioned a need for another block for the size of the site, we didn’t have a problem at all, no queuing and the facilities were spotless.

From the site you can easily walk to Seahouses (about 45 mins walk) and to Beadnell Bay (about 15 mins). Alnwick is about 12 miles from the site, we only had to use our car once which was good.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, the staff were very pleasant, the site was very busy and not very relaxing so we probably won’t be returning.

Just got back from a weekend here. The site was well organised and had everything we needed for camping with a simple tent. The pitches were well drained and fairly level. The facilities were smart, clean, and well maintained. Everything felt very COVID safe.
My kid loved the little play park and the beach just across the road. The beach is Sandy though so bring a brush to sweep it out of your tent after a trip there!
Love it here, we will be back for a longer stay as soon as we can!

The site staff are very friendly, welcoming & informative. We arrived a day into the bank holiday weekend to what looked to be a pretty much full site they were on top form providing us with all the information required for our stay. Having read multiple reviews saying staff are rude etc we were a little apprehensive to book here, however, in our experience this couldn’t be further from the truth. Even the dull weather hadn’t dampened their spirits! The site itself is beautifully presented, a lot of care and attention to detail has been made- keeping planters and decorative items freshly painted, enhancing & adding to areas which they can creating a really nice feel for the site. There are various bits of planting around water points etc, perfectly mowed/cut lawns & pitches everywhere. The facilities are exactly as advertised & have been absolutely spotlessly clean every time we have visited, particularly impressive considering the site must be near to capacity and often people don’t think it’s partly their responsibility to keep things clean. Again, something we were a little apprehensive about due to seeing many reviews saying facilities are dated, dirty & not fit for purpose- completely untrue in our experience! If you arrive with the expectation of jacuzzi baths and cascading mood-lit sinks you will be disappointed though. Perfectly clean, perfectly functioning. The site Location for us has been perfect, it’s a peaceful site located on the coast, yes there is a road running along the front of the site, wouldn’t say it’s particularly busy or noisy though and certainly not at night. May seem noisy to some as the surrounding area is almost silent. The area itself is a perfect base for walkers. There’s a shop just off site which offers a more than reasonable selection of essentials at good prices. A few pubs/eateries etc are dotted around as well as a mobile fish & chip van just a stones throw from site. We have really enjoyed our time here, as have our dogs!

We’ve stayed at this site a few times and the staff are a bit officious- since Covid you’d think there was also an alien invasion. They even mow the grass with masks and visors on their sit on mower - watering the plants gets the same treatment. . There are still no facilities open. Not even the swings for the children.
Just feel their reaction is totally over the top. They could open every other shower, same with toilet cubicles. I’ll be going elsewhere in future.
The fees don’t reflect the reduced service.

I stayed here with my fiance we both under 40, we were going to see a band at the craster arms around the corner, I'm not familiar with camping so was apprehensive, I booked the site and then read reviews, I was thinking I'd made a mistake booking it after reading All the negative ones I expected turning up and it being a complete nightmare. A few days before a lady from the pitch rang me to check we had our own waste facilitys as the toilets were closed due to covid she was absolutely lovely really friendly, this put my at ease. When we turned up to the site we were directed by the man cutting the grass also friendly then the man came out to show us to the pitch he checked we had proper waste disposal and then we followed him on his bike he was really nice and even told us which way the sun came up on a morning and gave us directions to the pub. It was quite busy site but really quiet. We went out and even coming back late and with a few too many drinks we wernt botherd. Its right across the road from the beach and local shop a 5 min walk. All in all we found all the staff lovely no problems and would definitely be back.

Camped for 4 nights and had a brilliant time. The campsite was really friendly & clean, amazing location with the beach just over the road (you can’t hear road noise from the site) and seahouses is a really nice short walk along the beach. Worth getting up to watch the sunrise on the beach in your pjamas :)

A great location being just situated on the other side of the beach.
However, obvious lack of investment in the actual site is showing. The single amenity block for dishwashing, toilets and showering is old, smells and requires a serious update. I would also question that one block is enough for a site this size.
In contrast with the many privately owned sites we have stayed in this year, this site was the poorest of them all re standard of amenities and the most expensive.

We wanted 3 nights on the coast in Northumbria, and in terms of location the camp site has it all. It's just a hop across the road to the beach, and if you are a twitcher a load of Waders! It's a long walk to Bamburgh, but one well worth doing - particuarly if you can get in to the fish restaurant featured on the Hairy Bikers. It's a great spot. We went when covid mask / distances rules were no longer in effect.

The site has the usual facilities, and with the exception of wifi they are of a good standard (we use vodafone, and we had to use mobile data via our mobiles to get decent internet).

My criticisms are; while some staff are very friendly and helpful, others were unhelpful and downright rude. Also, we had a problem with the electricity supply to our van. The on site staff tested our connection and 'confirmed that it worked' and advised that the problem was with our van. However, when one van connected to our electricity supply left the site, as if by magic our electricity started working. At other campsites we went to in subsequent weeks the electiricity supply worked first time every time. The verdict has to be that the electricity is a bit flakey.

We will be going back to Northumbria, but despite its brilliant location we won't be going to Beadnell Bay.

I have to admit following the read of many reviews pre-travel I was apprehensive however we were treat with nothing but respect and pleasantries always. Yes the site has some rules but non different to others. We had three tents pitched as close as safety rules allow together on a rather busy Jubilee weekend. Everyone loved the laid back atmosphere and I’m sure our children will treasure the memories made forever.

My only tip for anyone travelling is buy any necessities in Seahouses as the local shop prices are extremely high, and Beadnell Beach has paddle boarding lessons that look a right hoot!

The staff are great and made a special effort to celebrate the jubilee and the selfies with the Queen we loved. We will all be back when we can to make more memories as a family.

We had a very friendly reception with all the usual Covid constraints and were shown to our plot and offered plenty of helpful advice as new visitors to this site. The site was very full but still nicely laid out and relaxed in nature. There are plenty of water and waste points and nothing ever seemed to busy.
We enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights here. The location is directly across the road from the beach which extends to Seahouses in the north. We and our little dog enjoyed fabulous all day walks to Bamburgh in the North and Dunstanburgh to the south. Never seen better beach scenery anywhere in Europe. Everyone we met was friendly, bar some idiots on the Dunstanburgh golf course who seemed to find it amusing to hit balls from an elevated position towards visitors leaving Dunstanburgh Castle along the public path. then afterwards shout 4 while missing the adjacent green completely and landing balls on the path literally a few inches from completely unsuspecting walkers. Didn't just happen once while we were watching!
Even so, the views across the bay to the Castle are fantastic and the beach is fabulous. The Castle itself has a remoteness to it which you don't often feel in England.
Beadnell Bay Club Site is a lovely and well run site which I heartily recommend.
