We went to Beadnell Towers for a family reunion as it was a good location to meet with family scattered around the country. What a good choice it was. The hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard with beautiful modern decor in keeping with the building interspersed with clever individual and quirky touches throughout. The hotel was pleasantly warm throughout at all times - much appreciated on a cold blowy March day, The rooms are very individual in their design with clever touches to make them all unique. Our room (Muckle Hoose) was superb with two free standing copper baths in the bedroom and a double ended walk in shower in the bathroom. The large bed was extremely comfortable. We had a very tasty evening meal in the restaurant which had an attractive open view of the kitchen. All our party enjoyed their choice of meal. The breakfast was also delicious , especially the kippers from Seahouses and the eggs florentine. The staff were all warm and friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a good time. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and we thank you all for making the family reunion such a success. The coastal scenery, surrounding countryside and local walks were outstanding. We will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed for one night with the aim of escaping the hustle and bustle of life, and the hotel certainly delivered. The attention to detail was a theme throughout the hotel and our room 'Yarkin' was the best I've ever stayed in. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the rainfall shower was luxurious to say the least. Every possible thing seemed to have been thought of.
The service in the bar was quick and attentive, with very reasonable prices with plenty of quiet places to sit.
We ate in the restaurant in the evening, a wide range of excellently presented local food, service was good and the staff very helpful.
Overall, a very comfortable stay in a very friendly and very comfortable hotel. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed for one night between Christmas and New year. Wonderful location in the lovely village of Beadnell. The room (Shiel) was nicely decorated (curtains could do with some attention as they have already started coming from their hooks and are a little small leaving visable gaps to the outside) with a little extra room with sofa and TV. The room was very warm and despite us turning the radiators off it remained very warm for most of the night. Also, we could clearly hear music in our room which was coming up from the customer toilets below the room, luckily this was switched off when the bar closed so didn't disturb us during the night. A shower cap in the toiletries would be appreciated given the rain shower style shower. I know Noble Isle do a shower cap so there's no excuse.

The room advertises an outdoor terrace which is accessed through a fire door. However, concerningly I was unable to open the fire door and it took my partner a good ten minutes to get it open. The terrace is also shared with what looks like a cleaners cupboard and staff were seen coming and going. Strangely we were advised when we mentioned to staff about the fire door, that the terrace shouldn't be in use. Regardless, any door with a fire exit sign above it should be easily opened. Equally the hotel website advertises the room has a terrace attached to it. Hopefully this problem will have been rectified.

We ate in the restaurant (really just an extention off the bar area). The food was lovely and the service attentive. Breakfast was nice, although my first choose was not available due to unripe avacados.

Checking in/out staff are also bar/restaurant staff, so depending on how busy the the bar is depends on how quickly you will be attended too.

All in all a pleasant stay, however a few niggles that stop it reaching its full potential and for the price we paid, I wouldn't expect to be having to write about such things.

Hello JR_01976, Thank you very much for taking the time to offer us your most welcome and genuine feedback. I am very pleased to see that in the main you enjoyed your visit but have noted your comments relating to a few misgivings that require greater attention. I have noted your comments regarding the public area music and can confirm that this is turned off earlier now to ensure that guests are not disturbed. Along with our usual offering of toiletries we always have available toothbrushes, shower caps, mending kits and hairbrushes for guests that require them. I have investigated and re oiled the lock that you have referred to on the patio door. I am sorry that this had been overlooked. The Terrace area is available to visitors but we are keen to install some subtle screening to afford guests a better degree of privacy prior to the Summer season. Over all I am pleased to see that you enjoyed your visit and hope that we shall have an opportunity to meet you on a future visit. With thanks and all good wishes, Neil Slade

Someone has really put a great attention to detail here both in the rooms and communal areas. Our bedroom (yardis) had a rolltop bath in the room, sitting area, attractive bathroom and huge bed. Very well appointed room. Slight negative was noise from people sitting outside the hotel, but not a major issue. Breakfast service was slow- but lots of high quality options and cooked well. Dog friendly is a bonus as my kids enjoyed plenty of dog interactions! Would definitely recommend and felt this was reasonable value for the quality of the accommodation

What a fantastic hotel. I stayed here with my wife and took our dog as we were coming out of lockdown so only had access to outdoors to eat and drink. The hotel is very safe to visit with all covid requirements being met. They have put extra tables in the cat park which can accommodate many people whilst keeping to social distancing. Staff were so great and helpful. The room was lovely and clean and had wooden floors which made it dog friendly. The bed was very comfy and the shower was very powerful and had plenty of hot water which was very welcoming after being outside in the evening. We were served a continental breakfast in our room which had a good selection of warm bread cereal
croissants cheese and jam etc. We also had the steak, fish and chips and a pizza all of which were delicious. They have an outside bar where you pay but is all table service at the moment. The fire pit tables were really lovely in the evening if you can get hold of one. We are going to book to stay here for a week when lockdown restrictions are lifted and the location is fabulous and the hotel itself has everything you need for a lovely break. Thank you to all staff that made our weekly so special.

A lucky find in Northumberland as we've found most places do not match Beadnell Towers for service, cleanliness and quality. We visited as Covid restrictions are being lifted and for our first trip away (and first time out of Scotland) since the pandemic started, we felt very safe with hand gel available, both staff and guests socially distancing and everyone wearing face masks. Staff were friendly, informative about the area and service from them was great.

We stayed for one night in the Muckle Hoose room and oh boy will we be back! A giant superking bed which was so comfy, twin bathtubs in the room and a twin power shower in the bathroom - glorious. Lovely thick towels and wrapped bathrobes for sanitation. The outlook was a small grassy area which was really quiet.

The hotel looks brand new with a mix of new and tradition decoration. We loved the exposed walls and the modern lighting. The car park had been converted to covered seating with fire pits too. We had no problem finding a space to park on the street. We opted for room service for dinner as the fresh air from our walk down to Beadnell beach (about 5 mins away) and harbour had left us tired and we didn't want to eat outdoors.

Dinner was fresh and arrived exactly at the time we requested. Good choices on the menu and they make fresh pizzas on site. Breakfast was continental only due to Covid. We were asked what we wanted for cereal, tea, coffee etc and it all arrived to our room as requested.

We were sad to leave after only one night. We will be back once restrictions are lifted to take full advantage of the restaurant. We highly recommend Beadnell Towers if you are looking for something more upmarket to stay in Northumberland.

We had a drink and a meal here during our recent holiday to Beadnell. The hotel is clearly marked with signs giving instructions to wait to be seated, hand sanitisers and floor markings clearly visible. Decorative screens between tables, a lot of though has gone into how they can comply with regulations.
As always the food was delicious, we had burger, sirloin steaks. The presentation is amazing and the food delicious. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. We were made to feel very welcome and will be recommending to friends who are visiting the area in September and look forward to returning ourselves next year.

This place is nothing short of exceptional in every way. The beautiful eccentric decor with gramophone record players, antique typewriters and a fabulous collection of phones on reception make for a truly memorable visit. They accommodated me and my two large dogs during a very busy Sunday lunch. The crispy belly pork was outstanding and served with a fabulous variety of very freshly cooked vegetables and a beautiful Yorkshire pudding and exquisite gravy. The sticky toffee pudding that followed was equally as gorgeous. They made both me and my dogs feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough even bringing a large bowl of fresh water which they refilled halfway through my visit. 10 out of 10 to all the staff, and a particular shout out to the new head waiter from Scotland who had only been there for three days and worked as if he was related to the owners with a calm personality and a smile.

Many like us this year had trips abroad cancelled, therefore we thought we would treat ourselves on home turf. We picked Beadnell, chose one of the best rooms and handed over nearly £1000 for four nights b&b. The only reason this review is written is because the Manager could not be bothered to reply to my email. A lovely spacious bedroom but for four nights we practically lived out of a suitcase, not one drawer for clothes and for some reason the kettle was fixed in the wardrobe so you steamed your clothes as it boiled. Bedside light did not work, reception gave me a bulb and still didn’t work. After complaining many times I gave up. Important to me as I like to read in bed. At breakfast I ordered porridge followed by an omelette, they both duly arrived simultaneously and as they don’t really go together the omelette was kept warm. It returned dry and congealed inside. Second morning full breakfast but no beans available. Third morning no fruit of any description available as the veg man was late. Waiters not really well trained for uk breakfast service, one had no idea what rice crispies were for example.
Some of these observations may seem trivial, but when you are staying at what I consider to be a reasonably expensive hotel then I think you should receive a certain standard of service.
On the plus side the hotel is nicely decorated and furnished plus the staff are generally friendly and do the best they can.
The shame is it could be a great experience especially if the Manager became interested in his/her guests.

Visited in July 2020 with my wife for 1 night. Stayed in room “Muckle House” which is a beautiful room with iconic twin copper bath tubs in the room, high ceiling with oak beams and a huge bathroom with twin walk-in shower.

The Reception area and hallways are furnished to a high spec with quirky fittings such as the bank of old telephones behind reception.

The hotel have taken steps to safeguard guests and staff post COVID with screens around Reception, 1-way systems, floor stickers although none of these are too intrusive.

Didn’t have an evening meal here but breakfast was lovely.

Highly recommended but not a cheap location....but well worth the money for the luxury rooms.

hi sorry to take so long to get back to you, with this. There is pub in the village that does food and the food in the hotel is excellent. You are close to Seahouses for great fish and chips and also Bamburgh which has several great pubs and a restaurant called the Potted Lobster. Hope that helps
