Lovely couple and we had a nice stay.only problem was the rooms are very dated and shabby especially the bathrooms. But over all a nice stay. Food was lovely and the village needs cleaning up but we enjoyed using the b&b a base.

We have no record of anyone of your name having stayed at our B and B. Your description of both our property and our lovely village bears no resemblance to either. We have contacted Tripadvisor as we can only conclude you have confused us with another property (and village!). Your review ,as you can see, is dramatically different to any...

Great breakfast. The sofa in the room was a bonus for relaxing and watching tv rather than sitting on the bed. Great hosts. This is an ideal location as a base for touring Northumberland. The welcome tea and cake was very appreciated.

We stayed here for two nights along with our friends from Australia, we had read the good reviews before we went and boy, were they true to their word. Dave and Val are truly wonderful hosts and they could not do enough for us, the bedrooms were very comfortable with an ensuite shower, there were lovely toiletries for the guests...

We had three wonderful nights here at August bank holiday. It is ideally situated to explore the North East. Dave and Val are excellent hosts. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent, and there is even a surprise triple waiting for you when you return from one of the local restaurants.

This ticked all the essential requirements of location, room quality, food, cleanliness, friendliness etc. It was the added items that also mattered - tea/cake welcome, possible 'nightcap' provided, extra wish to provide useful information on local eating places, booking of trips etc. The owner was very friendly & available to help when asked. Being very near the A1, but in...

A very comfortable experience at this village centre B&B. 5 at breakfast with a No Vacancies sign in the window. Everything went like clockwork. Parking is on the street outside, but plenty of room. Co-op over the road. Good TV in room. Complimentary night-cap available! Range of teas available in the room. Breakfast was lovely If we are in the...

Without repeating the points raised in other positive reviews, it's all true. Val and Dave are generous, efficient and very thoughtful hosts. Stopped for two days. The breakfast was outstanding. Very comfortable rooms. No need to take shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries as all provided. Nicely positioned for seahouses, cragside, holy island and other highlights. Highly recommended.

A warm and friendly welcome, a well-appointed, comfortable room overlooking the street which was very quiet. Plenty of towels, including a face cloth which is most unusual but very welcome. We loved all the special little touches, it was good to have a sofa in the room for relaxing whilst watching television, wine glasses and a corkscrew - inspired! Fresh...

Friend and I were walking the Northumberland coastal path and arrived at the farm house looking like drowned rats after being caught in a downpour. Our hosts sprang into action, drying our wet clothes and stuffing our boots with newspapers, we couldn't have felt more welcome. Our bags had been taken upstairs and we were invited down for home made...
