Travellers' Choice
Quality Bed & Breakfast accommodation on a beautiful coastal spot overlooking Holy Island in an area of outstanding natural beauty and of special scientific interest. The premises are old stone buildings which formed part of the original farmsteading. Converting the smiddy, cow byre and cartshed has created 5 spacious en-suite rooms that are independent of the farmhouse and have individual front doors so your space is your own. You will enjoy modern comfort all round and be kept warm and cosy by underfloor heating. Our location is idyllic with an ever changing landscape as the sea comes and goes with the tide. The farm is an ideal base for walking, cycling, and exploring the local area – particularly Lindisfarne and Bamburgh with their magnificent beaches, castles and rich history, and The Farne Islands – a haven for wildlife. Breakfasts are served in the farmhouse with plenty of fresh options and cooked breakfasts made to order using local produce. Enjoy homemade jams, local honey and Northumbrian bacon and sausages.

...but this is another 5* review for Fenham Farm! Gill and Walter are charming hosts and looked after us well. The barn conversion is amazing, and our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and modern. We slept well every night - even the first! - in the huge double bed. Breakfasts were something to look forward to each day, with views over to Holy Island from the breakfast room, and delicious prepared to order food, all prepared by Gill and served with a smile by Walter. Perhaps worth mentioning that they do not normally do evening meals, except for walkers, as there is no alternative within walking distance. However, for car drivers, as we were, there are several local pubs within 10 minutes drive, that we enjoyed visiting and eating at. Thanks for a great stay, we'll be back!

We found Fenham Farm using a search engine a few years ago and what a find it was. We go every year usually for a week. We love the farm and the hosts, Walter and Gill. The rooms are always spotless, beautifully decorated and has everything you need, including home made cakes in your room when you return after a day out in the beautiful area. A few changes have been made due to Covid 19 to keep them and their guests safe. The beds are really comfortable, add that to the silence and a great nights sleep follows. Breakfast is excellent with a great choice of hot and cold dishes, with the hot choices cooked perfectly to order. Above the breakfast room is a guest lounge area which is divided into 2 areas, one around a log fire (should a log fire be needed) great for reading or just relaxing, the other end has a large picture window where you can look out, with or without binoculars, at Holy Island and watch the vehicles on the Causeway (especially when the tide has not gone fully out). Around the farm and the lanes in and out of Fenham we frequently see wildlife and birds of prey - deer, rabbits, hares, Buzzards, sparrow hawk etc. and off course on clear nights you get to see the amazing Northumberland night sky. I can not recommend Fenham Farm highly enough.

Our second visit. We cannot fault this establishment!Very impressed with the arrangements made for Covid 19. Truly excellent breakfasts. This time we took our bikes which we were able to leave locked away when not in use. Gill and Walter are excellent hosts. We will be back!

We have been here before, but not under Covid rules. They have their systems well set upand we felt very Covid safe. Really first class room, really first class service and everything just right. Very convenient for all the things that you may want to visit in the area.
