Old hotel with loads of character, friendly staff and good food. I was attending a course early the next morning and got a cooked breakfast 10 minutes before the official breakfast start time. Room was good too although the bed was a little soft.

Stayed here 3 nights with our Weimaraner. This hotel punches well above its star rating. Owned by 2 brothers who go out of there way to make you feel welcome. Our room was at the front of the hotel a large corner room( so often pushed into a older room with a dog) not the case here. Big modern bathroom,... More

Decided to go here at late notice on a groupon deal and can honestly say it was a great decision. From start to finish the staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful and even the owner David took time to have a chat and showed genuine interest. The room was really nice and looked like a recently installed bathroom which was... More

Fantastic hotel. The room was fabulous- lovely view and really spacious and clean. Enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon in front of the open fire with a nice glass of wine. Dinner and breakfast both really nice and the staff were great. Would definitely stay here again.

We visited the hotel as non residents, but we're made just as welcome, food was of excellent quality, a bit expensive if you're on a tight budget, but worth every penny. We booked a table the night before, it was pretty busy, so probably would recommend doing the same if you're planning to try it.

We stayed here for just 1 night. The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings, we were met by a lovely lady (whose name I didn't get) we were made to feel welcome immediately. We choose food from the bar rather than the restaurant and it was perfect. Would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to... More

Helpful and friendly staff, we had a great time here. The rooms are comfortable. The food was lovely and it was lovely for me NOT to feel hungry after a meal (rare!) We recommend this place and would consider coming here again! By the way - Sat Nav tried to say we were in a Lay-by for the night!!! It... More

The hotel comprise 19 letting rooms, in addition to a main bar, residents' lounge, restaurant, large function area and music room, conservatory and terrace overlooking a large well manicured front lawn.
