We stayed in Morpheth Lodge for 3 nights, and it's an OK place, I probably would have given it 3 or 4 stars were it not for all the things that went wrong with our room. We had a family room, which has been refurbished, and which is rather nice and big. However, on the second day, we woke up...

I stayed at Morpeth Lodge for one night while up in Northumberland on Business. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren of fairly new build buildings and benefits from it's own car park at the back of the building. The owner was very friendly and helpful and I paid just £55 for a double room including breakfast. The...

Undergoing a refurbishment, a no frills place to get your head down. Just what we needed - not being the 'stay in the room' types. It's within easy walking distance of town. Gluten free bread at breakfast on request. Standard B&B fayre. Friendly (and busy) host.

This was not my choice, it was booked through work, however, l was very pleasantly pleased. Morpeth Lodge was very clean, warm and had a very good breakfast. My only criticism was that my refurbished room was on the road side so was quite noisy. However I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a night or two.

We stayed at Morpeth Lodge for two nights, we were oirginally booked in ,to one of the old rooms which we were shown, I gasped when I saw how dated and tired it looked I did not want to stay there, then we were told that the lodge is under new ownership and is being renovated, there was one room...

The room we had was tired with only a bath. No shower. The room was very clean. There is a lot of refurbishment going on and the room we had has still to be done. Thge manager Phil could not have been nicer and was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with as much as you wanted.
